There are rumors that certain cards that aren't meant to exist can be obtained through AI1 and AI2...

AI2 have some cards not avaliable on AI3, and so sometimes I try 1-2 games and see if I get a lucky spin. Some time ago I got a Thunderstorm :D
What other cards besides thunderstorm?
I believe most cards not used by AI3 are used for some AI2. Dagger, for example, is in most AI2 decks, if not all. Some will have Dissipation Shield, Holy Light, Purify, Dragonfly...

I changed my system when version 1.28 came out. I'm now planning to beat eight AI2s before I start on AI3s, and each loss will cancel out three of those wins. (Previously, each loss would cancel one win, plus one win for each previous loss since the last time I went up a rank -- although dropping out of a rank and then returning to it would count.)

This change has made it easier for me to determine how much electrum I need to keep on hand in order to avoid having to drop down to AI1 prematurely -- in fact, it's a simple function of my "position" in the level, so I've put it into the chart I've been using to keep track of that position. It also seems like it'll practically eliminate the chance of dropping back to AI0: this will now require a win-rate of less than 75% against AI1, plus two more losses. (And it was already pretty low -- it's only happened twice so far, both times after fewer than three AI1 losses.)

I do. I was new to this, so I played AI1 and 2 couple times. But I rarely play those levels now. In case of out of electrums, I'll play.

I play AI2 very rarely, only sometimes when I ran out of electrum or to test new decks.

Only play AI2 if I want to test a deck. No other reason to play against them imo

For the first couple of months I played the game, I would upgrade a card every time I collected 1,500 :electrum.  Often, this would leave me without enough coins to play AI3 or higher, or Arena, so I'd be forced to play the lower levels until I had enough to play my regular opponents again.  After a while, I developed the habit of waiting to upgrade a card until I had 1,600 :electrum.  That way, even if I lose a few duels after the upgrade, I still have enough coins to play where I want.
