Luck Deck https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=5729.msg58636#msg58636
« on: April 24, 2010, 08:03:01 pm »
I've been working on a deck.
I call it the luck deck, because it consists of cards that rely on luck. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a push over. It's not great, but I've been going through 3 accounts testing it.
Marks tested: Death, Gravity, and Darkness.
So far Darkness works best.
Deck:
9 Quantum Pillars
1 Boneyard
1 Mummy
2 Reverse Times
1 Momentum
3 Pillars that match your element
1 Dragon of your element(Or strong card)
1 Pheonix
3 Drain Lifes
3 Steals
And 1 Parrelel Universe
Note: The Steals and Drain Lifes can be replaced by other cards, such as Parrelel Universe x 3 and Lightning x  3 for Aether.
The other 15 cards are up to you, and work best matching your mark. Although, creatures with Poisen work well, thanks to Boneyard.

Just out of curiosity which of these cards do you consider requiring luck?  What do you mean by luck?  I could see a deck of fate eggs or mutations being called a luck deck but this?

Not sure you understand what the word luck means.

It uses luck by using the Quantem Pillars as the main source. I've had Some times I've won in 5 turns.
Others I've lost in 5 turns. Note you can Outfit this deck to rely more or less on these pillars, or make this a Aflaotoxin deck.( By adding enough steals, and enough blessings or Bassilisk and Rages)
Apperently, you haven't yet noticed that this deck DEPENDS on your opponent's decks reliance on Base features, like Towers or pillars(other then quantem). It gives you a big advantage to be able to use Bassilisk Potion, Three rages, and an immortality. Maybe throw in an extra momentum. The main down side is: If you get more rellient, this Jack of all trades, master of none, deck destroys itself.  Though, you can rely Some, but not fully.
That method works best with it based on your mark. (for me,  :darkness)

Unamed, it looks like you're trying to merge a rainbow deck and a darkness deck, which is probably not worth the time to attempt.  Luck is always a factor in card games but it looks like luck by your definition is an excuse for not being able to find the quantum to play the cards in your hand.  If you're going to keep the deck as is, some novas may help.

But I'd recommend figuring out what you want to accomplish and then building a deck around it.  I don't think aflatoxins, for instance, belong in a deck that isn't built around aflatoxins.  Decks closer to 30 cards are more consistent, so I'd shoot for that.

hrmmm, I think you meant that last deck as a joke but having 20 pillars in a 30 card deck is crazy.

Aren't all decks influenced by luck? Or at least Zanz's "fair" deck shuffler?

That last one might work with some phase shields and maybe some more drawing power to speed it up. :P

I'd say Gravity or Fire, to get the Titan up and running ASAP. Since Titan requiers 8 to summon, having a Grav mark will greatly increase the summoning speed of it.
