World Championship 2017 - TOP 4

RULES
The only elements allowed are the 8 elements listed by your match up. (The top 4 listed from each player sent in during Top 8)
Any elements chosen by both players will not be allowed.
In the event there are less than 7 elements for a match, randomly rolled elements will be added to make 7 elements.

You cannot use the same element more than twice in a match.
You cannot use the same combination of elements more than once in a match. (monos included)
Limit 3 monos per match.
In your first 4 games, one deck must use at least 3 elements.
In your first 4 games, one deck must use at least 3 shards.
In your first 4 games, one deck must use a combination of at least 7 weapons and shields.
In your first 4 games, one deck must use at least 40 cards.

You may not overlap the bolded rules for multiple decks. i.e. a 40 card trio will not count towards both using 3 elements and 40 cards, it will only count towards one of them.
If you use an element there must be at least 6 non-Pillar/Pendulum cards included in the deck.
Other elements' Pillars, Pendulums, and Marks may be used. (Using a 'quanta card' doesn't count as using the element.)
You may use up to 4x upgraded cards, where 'x' is the game of the match you are on. (game 1 = 4 ups, game 2 = 8 ups....)
Limit 15 Ultra rare cards per match.
You must declare your used elements after each game.
Best-of-7.

Elements:
kaempfer13 vs deuce22
:death :gravity :life :fire :water :light :aether

Just over 7 days left for these match-ups. Please try to get these done within the timer, as large extensions will not be given unless a date and time can be provided for the match.

Just checking: so long as we havent used up the elements yet, a trio does not disable us from using either duo its made up of, right?

deuce22 2-4 kaempfer

2 losses due to fatter stall, so annoying
1 loss due to misplays and RNG
1 loss due to RNG

1 win, i actually countered him
1 win, he may have been favored

Not the most satisfying match.

Spoiler for matches:
Game 1 WIN SoW Dragons (Aether) 4 UR (Shield deck)

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4su 4su 4su 4su 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61u 62m 62m 62m 62m 62m 62m 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 80f 80f 80f 80f 8pu

Faced Fire Stall. Figured there might be a Reflective Shield in there so I saved up my SoW. I drew all my Phase Dragons and the Lobotomizer relatively early, whereas phoenix was struggling to get enough quanta. Reflective eventually came, disabling my ability to burst through. Won since phoenix had 11 Light quanta when he needed to Miracle the most (the first he used was upgraded).
Spoiler for screenshot:

Game 2 WIN Mono Air (Air) 1 UR (Shard deck)

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sr 5oc 5oc 5oc 5of 5of 5of 5og 5ol 5ol 5on 5on 5op 5pa 5pa 5pa 5pa 5pa 5pa 5pu 5pu 5pu 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mv 7mv 8pr

VS RoL Hope with SoPa. Hope is of no use against SoFree. Still came close with phoenix' amazing start. 4 Aether Pillars at start when you need at least 6 non-quanta cards for each of the 3 elements? How? I won anyway, so /care
Spoiler for screenshot:

Game 3 LOSS RoL SHoPa (Water/Aether/Light) 0 UR (Trio deck)
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5ia 5ia 5j2 5j2 5j2 5j2 5lk 5lk 5lk 5lk 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 622 622 622 622 622 622 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 808 808 808 808 808 808 8pp

No picture. Game 2 matchup reversed, I never drew Fractal and drew fewer pillars. RIP. Kind of saw SoFree coming, but did not prepare a trio for it in advance.

Game 4 WIN Fire Stall (Fire/Light) 0 UR (40+ card deck)

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5f6 5f6 5f6 5f7 5f7 5f7 5f8 5f8 5fb 5fb 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dk 7k0 7k0 7k2 7k2 7k2 7la 7la 7la 7la 7la 8po

VS weird deck with Bone Wall and Fractal Death Nymph. Bone Walls were really annoying against my Fahrenheit and Arsenic was being a pain in the Arse. I think phoenix could have won this with less crappy RNG or even just playing the deck differently. Still relied on a Fire Lance topdeck last turn to boot.
Spoiler for screenshot:

Game 5 LOSS Poseidons Wrath (Water) 1 UR

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sp 5aa 5aa 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ij 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gs 7gs 7gs 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 8pp

This is why I hate Discord. 1 more Earth quanta on my last turn and I would have won. The 1 vs 2 hp, though.
Spoiler for screenshot:

Game 6 WIN Pandebonium (Death/Entropy) 1 UR

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sk 4vp 4vp 4vp 4vp 4vp 4vp 710 710 710 710 710 710 710 710 710 718 718 718 718 718 718 71a 71a 71b 71b 71b 71b 71b 72i 72i 8pj

phoenix had some trouble getting the quanta he needed to get started, but eventually got a 20 attack Wyrm that struck twice with 2 SoFrees (diving on the second, so 40, 60 if SoFree would have procced) and once at 25 attack (again diving) with 3 SoFrees. SoFree never procced for the Wyrm, though, causing Bone Wall to block them. The Freeze effect only came from my Pandemonium on my winning turn.

He has to use a trio now so free win, right? No need to waste swallow now, great opportunity to keep on memeing? Wrong, obviously the splash card was going to be SoP so stall was the worst possible option to choose here. During the games i was actually confident a better draw would have won me, but realistically it kinda requires both half my nymphs and plagues in first 15 or so cards to win this.

Pretty much what i was expecting came, but due to early lobo (lots of dmg and denies me multiplying his dmg on board through cells) and no bw i would have actually lost if it werent for deuce missplaying a guard too much into sosac.

vs monofire. cointoss win and no fahren give me the win. i was preparing more for firestall as this was the only actually working counter i had left (other than swallow i guess, but thats a bit risky too).
