Should I post decks?
2-0 vs Oa
Two really lucky games. 1st game I played
mono against our
speedbow. Oa had a very bad
quanta draw, I was able to win in 7 turns (had exact dmg last turn). Nota bene, that bow is capable of doing 5TTWs.
2nd game was mirror:
sofrees. We both started with 2 ppms and no damsels. Luckily I grabbed damsels a turn
later, while Oa draw only sofrees and Eagle eye (maybe more but he didn't played them due to my Eagle?). I had a 9TTW,
which also tells that we both had weak draws, but Oa got unluckier.
2-1 vs Zso
Thought aetherbow will be good for next, but Zso played
's DBH. I was checking my food (making dinner) while
waiting for his turn, and when I got back I played Nova without looking at his ppms... which turned to be entro ppms,
ah, it is DBH, you stupid, nice misplay, BH next turn... quanta gone, and that sealed the game. Was able only to PU his
Charger.
2nd game was really exciting. I chose one of kae's OTKs, while Zso played mono
. I had a nice Sundial flow, I thought
I'll be able to deny those pesky sofree critters. Then I realized that I'm using a Chimera-less deck. Damn! OK, change of
plans, let's get that combo earlier on the desk! I still had time to mito for 2 turns, which just spawned enough dragons
to win: 10 dragons with Sky Blitz = 26x10 dmg. If 4 of them hits (60% Fog efficiency) I win. And they did it! The joy!
Haven't got such a happy moment in Elements in long time.
3rd game was
's Frozen CataTitans against one of earth's GP Auburn Pulvy deck. Had a good draw (2 titan, 2 congeal,
aw, 2 trebuchet - all in hand), while Zso haven't got any pulvies. His only option was to BB my Titan, but well, you know...
7 TTW.
2-1 vs. Nelde95
Choose that fantastic speedbow which deserted Oa. Everything went well against that Time RoL Hope... til the penultimate
turn. I mean, I wanted that penultimate turn for me. Next turn bam fractal rols, everything went downhill. Though my Mind Flayer
was able to fight the abilities but next fractal brought more Light Nymphs, thing was dead as dodo. (From my perspective the real
problem was that my Disco didn't really care about his
quanta. 1 extra turn delay would have meant a win, but having
3 different types of base quanta (
) obviously helped him.)
For next game I chose
's SoP Warden Bow - Nelde choosing something similar, but a gravy-earth duo. I was lucky to drew
my Pulvy earlier (1 in deck vs. his 3 copies), so I deleted quickly his one. After that it was sort of a formality, I had enough Warden
out to not worry about those gpulls and grabs. Waited patiently with my 2 Grabs for the fatal hit.
Kept my archnemesis for the last game: dark grabbow. Caused so much pain for our team last war, so I gave the coup-the-grace
with this to Nelde. It went well, despite the fact I didn't have good quanta, but I was able to steal his Disco to make his PUgon
deck (
) useless. Too bad he made a mistake when adjusting the deck to tourney rules and swapped 2 PUs to 2 Salvagers
(they made me really think what the heck happened, what are they doing here
). Bad clicks, I guess. Other than that no real
troubles here.
Thanks for everyone for the matches!
