Rules Please read the PvP Tournament rules carefully before joining the tournament. Remember to also read the Special Rules listed below!

NOTE: You need just one presentable forum post to be allowed to join tournaments; you can post it here. If this will be your first tournament, a Tournament Organizer will test your knowledge about the rules. So please be present in tournament room 30 minutes before the tournament starts.



Special Rules

• At the start of the tournament, a TO randomly selects one rule from each column below.
• Players then have 15 minutes to build decks. All decks must follow the 3 rules.
• After the 15 minutes are over, players must stop everything else and start searching for their opponents in the game.
  If the tournament is double elimination, the 15 minutes will be taken very seriously, and people will be disqualified if their opponent reports that they are still not ready.
• There is a twist! With each Decaying Potluck tournament, previously randomized rules will be removed from the table. This way, all rules will be used eventually.

Rule Column A The thin: 30-card deck The thick: 40-card deck The fat: 50-card deck The overkill: Cards with 0 cost must take up 40-50%(rounded up) of your deck The undecided: Equal amount of pillars and pendulums The temporary: No Deflagration, Steal, Pulverizer, Butterfly Effect or Shard of Focus	Rule Column B The Mono: Mono deck The yin-yang: Opposing duos must be used (Light/Darkness, Entropy/Gravity, Time/Aether etc.); you can't use both Black Hole/Amber Nymph and Discord in the same deck The 3: No more than 3 copies of each card (other than pillars/pends) The 6: Exactly 6 copies of each card (not including pillars/pends) The problemsolver: No cards that cost 2, 3, 6, 8 or 9 quantum The off-prime: No cards that cost 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 or 13 quantum	Rule Column C The incarcerated: Cannot use Air, Life and Light cards, except pillars/pendulums The resistant: No spells The grounded: No airborne creatures. Can we have like some voting before tourneys on starting time... 1 week earlier?

Last week Oa and I were present, but no TOs available. Wanted to play tourney,
haven't got the chance. (We had a guest, too, so technically a tourney would have
been possible.) Guess it was an awful time for Americans.

Now it is 03:00 AM for Europeans... I'm depressed.

That's because we didn't put out a reminder X hours before the tournament. Not many people mark tourneys in their calendars any more, though I'm glad we still have a few people who do that. Putting out reminders is usually my job, but I will not be very active in August.

Zso_Zso already started checking what we could do to improve the situation.

By the way, the same guest usually shows up who never joins tournaments (intentionally), so we cannot count with him.

Thanks very much for the great sportsmanship Zso. I had server issues game 2 and kept dc'ing turn 1. he gave me 3 tries for us to reconnect and was kind enough to replay even though he could have taken the win win vs AI the first time.
