A new reward system has been developed by the PVP Event Organizers and the Admins. You will now receive points - which can be used to purchase in-game codes - just by playing your matches.

You gain points according to the system shown below:

Gain 3 points for every round you play a match.
 - You gain 1 point if you get a bye.
 - You gain 1 point for an 'activity win'.

Gain 5 points if you play your match in every round possible.
 - Byes do not count against this.
 - An 'activity win', doesn't count against this.
 - An 'activity loss' or a 'double loss' negates your bonus 5 points for the event.
 - If you are eliminated from an event, the rounds that follow won't count against you.

Gain 7 points if you finish in the top 1/3 of the event
Gain 4 points if you finish between 1/3 and 2/3
 - For 12 participants: 1st-4th would get 7 points, 5th-8th would get 4 points, 9th-12th would get no additional points.
 - For 10 participants: 1st-3rd would get 7 points, 4th-6th would get 4 points, 7th-10th would get no additional points.

Spoiler for EXAMPLES:

In a standard 10 round event if you play every match ->

30 points from playing your matches
5 points from playing all your matches
7 points from placing in the top 1/3 of the event
=
42 total points for the event

If you did 'bad' in the event ->

15 points from playing your matches
5 points from playing all your matches
0 points from placing in the bottom 1/3 of the event
=
20 total points for the event

----------

If you didn't play one match in the above scenario ->
12 points from playing your matches (4/5 matches played)

12 total points for the event

What happens if you don't manage to play but you find a substitute? Does the substitute get any points? And do you?

In current 12 lives the person with most lives gets the (first) bye. It feels like a reward. If you perform well you get a bye.
If you get a bye instead of playing you get less points. This means that if you play well and earn your bye, you get punished with less points.

A 10-round event would be 2-3 months long, so 2 of those and you'd have a code. Of course, that's about 5-6 months to get enough points, provided you went deep into both events.

If you don't play, you don't get points and you lose your bonus for the event. Substitutes don't get points.

The 'bye' problem was discussed. Byes help you in the event already and a bye means you'll be around for the following round. So 1 point is awarded if you get a bye. If you don't want a bye and would rather play that round, discuss this with the person running the event. I'm sure most people would want a bye.

 This is really  a good idea, still better if add leagues, tournaments, brawl, trials and wars. Off course with a scoring system more larger and limit once code per year., also should be nice if we have a icon for active users, I saw already forum give icons for active users, perhaps a icon 16x16 (active member in 2018) if he got 100 points for example...

I don't know about the exact numbers for things, but I like the idea in general.  It should hopefully increase participation in events.

I suggest rage quitting in the middle of a match does to count as playing a match. You have not completed it and should be awarded 0 points.

I also suggest that a PvPEO should be able to award 0 points for an event when a player is removed from the tournament for breaking certain tournament rules (ragequitting, extreme misbehaviour).
This means you dont just get 0 points for the match, but for the entire tournament.
