War #5 - Propaganda Speech Poll

As a reminder, here were the rules governing submissions:

3. War Speech
This speech/poem is written by the General. Its purpose is to motivate the team, and make your enemies fear you. Think of it as a speech by Mel Gibson in Braveheart, just before the big battle. There are no restrictions in length or style.

War Speech doesn't have to be an amazing piece of literature, but there are some quality requirements.  Simply saying "My element is awesome, we will win!" won't cut it.  War Speeches will be approved by Warmasters.

A battlefield. Watch, my friends.
Flying Eagles Eyes, raining arrows on our ennemies.
Wyrms, rushing in, then out, a limp form in their jaws.
Damselfies, wandering, followed by the mighty Dragons.

Suddenly, a fog.
Small lights appear,
Some cryptic mumbling,
Then the battle field erupts with gigantic explosions.

Thunder strikes the last moving figures.
Look! A survivor, he tries to attack us.
But our Wings hold us high, and we Shock the rest of his life.

See, this is war. They come again, wanting to take our freedom away. Time to Blitz them away once and for all!

A new war is approaching, elements are gathering their forces and YOU are going to have to make a choice, the choice of the element you are going to support, one way or another. Now, more than any war before, everyone is accepted into the ranks of war. Whether it be a lowly soldier or one of the 5 elite members to join my ranks. It has always been Darkness' motto to welcome all, any and all support is appreciated.

So why should you join Darkness of all elements?
will be destroyed in a Big Crunch.
will be polluted, suffocating those who draw breath.
will decay till there's nothing else left.
will crumble and fell apart under the stress of this war.
will be unstable, spiraling to its own doom.
will burn away and exhaust its energy.
will push itself beyond limit, ripping a hole in the spatial continuum.
will soon be knocking on Death's door.
will eventually fade away, leaving this world in despair.
will come to an end, to the abyss where time stands still.
will turn impure and kill all living being.

will spread and grow, drawing everything to its arms.
It is subtle and clever, and will stalk the night like a shadow.
And as you fight, unaware of the creeping Darkness,
You shall be brought down to your knee.

Join me! Together, we shall rule this galaxy!
...and beyond of course.

Yep. 's me. Back again. Blondey's outpacing me now in terms of both Master and Generalship, but I am here, once more, hoping to lead my team back to the point at which there is no more to do but throw your decks into Elements space and pray that the RNG deems you and your team worthy.

I have seen many sides of War in the past, three times for the home team and once for Darkness, and each time I learned new strategies, tactics, and decks, patiently waiting until time would come again for me to lead Earth. The time for us to win. The time to hoist our banner high over the forums. The time to dominate all our opponents in cards and in strategy.

That time is now.

A few words for my team mates:
I'm glad that I was able to get you lot for my team. You're active, friendly and generally fun to be around. When an opponent sees we're facing them, I know they will have mixed reactions. On the one hand, they will know that they are now facing the searing might of the Fire element, directed by a team which is both hard working and highly experienced in pvp. On the other hand, they will also know to expect an enjoyable match, with friendly banter instead of bickering. We will represent Fire as a team both honorable and powerful. I'm looking forward to winning this War with you, and unlike similar statements that will inevitably be made in many other element's speeches, that's no mere wishful thinking!

"Surely no Element can be weaker than Life!"

We understand the meaning of desperation,
Whether it results in loss or celebration.
And we're different from them because when times get tough,

How I won the War
Year 2100

'Kids, I'm going to tell you an incredible story... The story of how I won the War.'
'Are we being punished for something?'
'No.'
'Yeah, is this going to take a while?'
'Yes...'

'100 Years ago, before I was The Grandmaster, my life was totally different. I was 'just another guy' and Light was looked upon as considerably one of the worst elements in the world of elements. As soon as I saw who my opponent for the Title was I knew I would be in for a hell of finals. The fighting was long and hard, but after an hour and a half, we both knew that the one who would win the incoming game would win it all! The battle started fast and furious as my Light Dragons started battering him from the start. In the end, his squids and Ice Shield were no longer enough and I managed to break trough and win. It was amaizing!'

'Wait, so, you won the War by battering down the Water Master with Dragons? That doesn't sound so exciting...'

'What, what? No, no, no, I'm not there yet. That is how I won my first Trials, defending my title as Master of Light! Oh no, kids! There's still to go until that War win...'

'Can you skip to the final part already? I promised Jenna and Annie I'd meet them at the mall!'

'Well kids, that's a story that hasn't been told yet... but soon, it will be what everybody will be talking about... and it WILL be epic. Because, the time of stories is over. Now, it is time to win.'

In respect to the recent tensions regarding a foreboding "War" the necessity to analyze the matter and discuss eventual take of action arises. 
The heralds of the public organs of the majority of the representational institutions of the material, immaterial and spiritual properties known as Elements seek out for the ear of the public by ways of verbal glorifications or defamations and martial acts in manifold and for third parties empirically sparsely comprehensible points of Time, with the intention of establishing a forum for the purpose of the publication of the nucleus which is inherent to their own concern.
With stetic and accurate cognition based on external observation and introspection a truly devastating verdict concerning both our culture and ourselves manifests.
It indicates that we subjectively assign grander relevance only to what is immediately tangent to ourselves and to what accompanies us continuously between Eos and Selene, while not granting space to other matters.
It seems curious that above mentioned institutions conscious of the situation would utilize any serviceable eventuality to push forward the publicity of their agenda, being aware that the prolonged exposure can lead to a sensorical depletion and therefore desensibilisation, they regard it as a lesser evil compared to the possible decay of material, emotional and temporal devotion and therefore atrophy of the perception of the value of one's represented property.
Upon becoming aware of this truly diabolical mechanism the implementation of the very same becomes compulsive.
For the purpose of this confrontation this institution has gathered the brightest people of this Time to defend the fate of this society against the sea of mental precarity and impertinance and pave the way for a new era.
Consequentially, deciding on our subsequent steps becomes trivial.
It is TIME to win.

Well, I wasn't expecting to win (credit for that goes I'm sure to glennfoo for all his efforts to convince voters) but I'm not sure where "avoid making a speech" comes from. I just chose to write a real speech to my team, instead of something more showy. How is that deemed illegitimate?

Pretty sure you do know where it comes from. A normal speech has never won this poll. *looks back on Death's comics*
Has little to nothing to do with you, although a speech for your teammates is usually done in the secret board, while propaganda speeches are specifically supposed to be aimed at the general public.
