GETTING READY
To join this event, you need to have a forum account.
You may join as a team or alone, whichever suits you. Teams are a maximum of 4 players.
OK, BUT WHAT IS THE EVENT?
This event is seperated in 3 phases.
The Build-up,
The fighting grounds,
And the face down.
In the first 2 phases of the game, you will not face against your teammates.
The build up
This phase is a round robin tournament, people are seperated in groups of around 4. But don't leave if you lose! Because it's not the end!
Battles are best-of-3. Each deck must contain over 50% of one element.
Each win brings 1 point to your team, and 1 point to the element you used. You get an extra point to yourself if you are not in a team.
In the case of a forfeit, or if someone doesn't show up, then only one point is accorded, to the person that was most active.
What are these points for you ask? They are for phase 2!
The Fighting Grounds
This phase is a single elimination tournament.
The deckbuilding rules are simple. You are allowed to use X upgrades where X is your team's points divided by how many players are in your team, rounded down.
On the first round, the element with the most points from round 1 is banned.
On the second round, the two elements with the most points are banned.
etc.
If the winner of this tournament is someone playing alone, then game over! GG! But if that person was part of a team...
The Face Down
Where friendships die and hearts are broken.
if its a team of 2 people this will be a final , best of 1, all or nothing matchup.
if its a team of 3 people, it will be a roundrobin. Best of 1.
if its a team of 4 people, it will be a single elim. Best of 1.
Deckbuilding rules : Each player gets as many upgrades as points they got in round 1. The person who won the phase 2 gets an extra 5 upgrades.
The winner of this... well... is the winner of the event.
