Players battle with limited decks and try to build more powerful decks than their opponents.

1. HOW TO SIGN UP?
Anyone with a forum and a chat account can sign up for this event. Start by reading the rules very carefully. Then sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic, or if it is locked, this event is not currently active, and you will have to wait for it to restart.

There is no maximum amount of participants in this event.

2. GETTING READY
Each player starts with 3 different cards: one creature, one spell, one permanent. All 3 of these cards must come from different elements.

3. GAME PLAY
Every round, each player will be matched up against another player with the same (or similar) amount of cards.

When you lose a match, you lose half of your cards rounded up, with the exceptions of 2 and 3. If you lose with 2, you are out of the event. If you lose with 3, you lose half your cards rounded down.

When you win a match, you may gain 1 card from your opponent.

EXAMPLE:
If Player A had B both had 6 cards each, and Player A won. Player A would gain 1 card from his opponent, giving him 7 cards. Player B would lose half his cards, giving him 3.

The maximum of each type of card you can have is 3. If you want to gain a card of a type of card you already have 3 of, you'll need to remove on you own. (This would mean your total cards wouldn't go up.)

4. DUELS
Duels are best-of-5.

- You can only use cards that you own, and up to 6 copies of it.
- You may use up to 6 upgraded cards in your deck.
- No 'Other' cards.
- MARK cards count as cards of the element they match.


5. AFTER DUELS
All players must submit their results and decks in the 'Battle Results' section.
Also include which cards you are gaining or losing.

6. WINNER
The player who is the last one with cards remaining is declared the winner.

I like it. But I don't quite like if you've won 5-6 matches in a row, losing the next makes you lose a lot of cards. Maybe it's just me.

so, say we have 2 cards, we are forced to use at least 18 pillars in our deck?

I like the concept, but I feel like players won't really have very many different decks to choose from. This would get boring, plus players could be matched against opponents who counter their set of cards completely. I have an idea that would help this without really changing the core of the event.

Players start with 9 cards: 3 creatures, 3 spells, and 3 permanents. When a player has fewer than 3 cards remaining, he is eliminated. Upon winning, players may salvage one creature, one spell, and one permanent from the opponent. And, of course, losing takes away half the player's cards, rounded up. Players would still be eliminated in a timely manner (at 0-2 and 1-3, for example), but there would be a lot more deck variety.
