With flash going I've gotten back into this, the developers in the game are migrating the code to unity instead of flash supported, it's free to play and the community is great
The Game
You start in Kanto region and the game begins as usual, pick a starter and get to it. There's guides and tools on the forum you can use to get by, but for spoilers, you can't talk until you beat Misty. Leveling is easy just tedious. It's a vast multiplayer game with plenty of other people, and it has NPCs you can get mini quests and items from. Vendors and pokecenters, sometimes little easter eggs as well. There's a global market system in place where you can buy pokemon, items, cosmetics and other stuff from. You've got the entire region to explore, there's even a ferry system! A few hidden locations such as Power Plant. Occasionally there are swarms of pokemon on certain routes, but that's randomized. PVP events, clans, tournaments, and so on. The community is pretty laid back and helpful, reliable. Altar blessings exist, as of late there are 3, one for mining, on for fishing (yes those are things in this game) and one for general pokemon exp. The altar can be found in Vermillion city. When you collect all the badges you already know to beat the elite 4, and then you can move on to the next region. The rest is pretty self explanatory, I'll add more if I missed anything.
