Card drawing is glitchy, and you can't have 8 cards in your hand at any time apparently, you MUST discard when you get 8.
Drawing cards with an hourglass/precog/sundial then at the moment your new turn starts, the card you were drawing disappears and you never actually draw a new card for the turn, sometimes you do, it's just bad timing for everything.
