so I had an odd but cool dream last night… ETG became an e-sport, but it was a bit different. It was like this turn-less real time version.

It was also played entirely on touch screens and to play cards you had to trace out glyphs on the screen and then drag the glyph to its target. The more a spell or ability cost, the more complex the glyph was.
The glyphs the opponent was drawing would also be visible, so it became very crazy and fast paced.
it was totally wicked!… but maybe this is a sign I've been playing too much lately… lol...

At any rate, I think this turnless version is totally awesome... I really wish you could set up PvP matches in it.

What if EtG was 3d animated like W101?
Ideas:
Summon Creature: Elemental throws card into ground, card diasppears, ground shatters and reveals creature
Quanta Gain: Dots fly off the top of your pillars and start orbiting around you
Cast Spell: Elemental throws card into ground and it explodes
Creature Dies: Creature flops over and explodes
Healing: Kinda like a Super Saiyan kind of thing with a green glow instead of yellow
Poison Damage: Like Healing but purple glow instead of green
Normal Damage: An orb of energy hits your elemental
Creature Attack: Each creature shoots an orb of its color at the elemental

Oooh if only, but that would take a lot of work, not only in coding but in art development as well.
If this were to be via true 3D, someone would have to go and make 3D models and effects for all creatures, permanents, and spell effects...
I don't know how feasible that is under Flash (although the unity engine could work)
