Here's my variation (from what I had in my hand). I did EM him... with great prejudice.

I just lost using the unupped version.  I didn't have enough quanta to use my cards fast enough.  I think maybe the unupped version should include more amethyst pillars.  I bet the upped version runs very well though.
could also be that i got unlucky...  i did only get to play the one game.

needs some decks that work well specifcally against Obliterator

best decks
no rares deck

no rares or upped cards deck (Antimatters for Basalt Dragons, Lightning for Elite Shriekers)
Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61v 61v 61v 61v 61v 61v
I tried it... it didn't work. I just had way too many pillars and not enough Antimatter. I would suggest taking out some of the pillars and maybe even Dragons or Lightnings. Mind you, I was close. Close enough that I can undertand how this deck would work in most situations.

Just tested in trainer, won pretty easily, the only thing id suggest is proably play an entropy tower before aether so that when he gets out pulvy he destroys them first, or you probably wont get enough out to get your dragons out.

If your going to use that you should definetly go for some Pendulums.  I like this...
Code: [Select]
6tt 6tt 6tt 6tt 6u7 6u7 6u7 6u7 6u7 6u7 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 6ve 80f 80f 80f 80f 80f 80f 80h 80h 80h 80hThis does work unupped, to an extent.  I would take out a few dragons for some more Pendulums if you don't have them up.

The other issue is just that you do need some luck as far as what creatures he plays. If he plays nothing but shriekers AMs are much less effective than if he plays a dragon or 2 fairly early. 2 AM'd dragons can heal through 4 shriekers since he auto burrows them, but shriekers only heal 5 if you AM them for the same reason.

also, try to wait on casting antimatter (AM)...
theres a queue you need to be aware of in the creature slot

[ 7 ] [ 3 ] [ 5 ] [ 1 ] [ 4 ] [ 2 ] [ 6 ] <-- middle row

at least wait until he cast the 3rd creature to cast your first AM, and dragon > shrieker like Nume said
the second and consequent AM should follow the first one, dont immediately cast them until he accumulate a couple more creatures
the main goal of AM is to negate his damage output
its not rocket science so once you get the hang of things, its easier to know when to play your AMs or when to hold on to them
