ELEMENTS OFFICIAL FORUMS: LANGUAGES
Whether you want to find out who speaks which language, or are looking to communicate with someone that can better assist you, here we can find the variety of languages spoken by many different members of the community.
! Click on any flag available beside a language to be directed to a popular page of that language where you can meet and greet fellow speakers!
! To add what languages you speak, simply write the languages you know and rate your knowledge according to the following criteria:
1: I know a few words.
5: I've studied it a lot though I can't say I'd know how to write a 5-page essay.
10: Jokes? Accents? Sarcasm? Slang? Proper grammar and punctuation? I know it all!
Please do not include English.e.g.
Spanish - 7, French - 4, Portuguese - 6.
! Feel free to add any update with a
new post whenever you're learning a new language or when you start improving on one you already know! It's ok to forget languages too! Just keep at it!
** Please be reminded that this thread is not for the purpose of communicating to other community members in a language other than English. There is most likely a thread for that, and if not, feel free to make one.

Spoiler for (13) Japanese:
morningstar | ◆◆◆◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ | I learned it through music and friends. I can only read/write well enough in Romaji, and know a handful of words in Kanji. |
Kakerlake | ◆◆◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ | Watashi wa Kakerlake desu. Mushi desu ne. |
pikachufan2164 | ◆◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ | I'd rather not butcher the language by spewing out random phrases I pick up from anime, though |
Silenia | ◆◆◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ | Just phonetic, everything I know I have learned from anime. |
Xinef | ◆◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ | prefer watching anime with a Japanese soundtrack and english subtitles... also, watashi wa Porando no bushi desu. |
lawrenceleong888 | ◆◆◆◆◆◇◇◇◇◇ | No problem with reading, writing, speaking and listening. But kanji pronunciation as in Japanese is still moderate. |
Drake_XIV | ◆◆◆◆◇◇◇◇◇◇ | I just know what I want to know and can more or less figure out some kanji. |
MystiK_ | ◆◆◆◆◇◇◇◇◇◇ | Currently studying for 2nd in school. (Ohayoo gozaimasu, watashi wa Daniel desu) |
Rutarete | ◆◆◆◆◆◆◇◇◇◇ | Maybe 7? I could get along well in society I think. |
Hawfrey1337 | ◆◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ | Some random words i say but can't write in japanese so not even 1/10 i guess |
Evan_85 | ◆◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ | Hitch-hiking trough the country makes some basic words stick. If people there speak English, they conceal it well. |
Basman-1453 | ◆◆◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇ | (The few I knew mostly came from music, 'booru, and my exposure to Touhou in the last few years instead of formal Japanese class during high school, during which I was exposed to neither of all three. Barely able to construct something useful, though~ XP [For context's sake, high schools in Indonesia, at least during my time, were required to teach one extra foreign language in addition to English (I heard those second foreign language class was abolished by now). One other school near ours was teaching German, IIRC, and I think another nearby school was teaching Italian.]) |
Aonwa | ◆◆◆◆◆◇◇◇◇◇ | だけどさ、書く物より喋り方は早いです!笑 あのさ、本官の魂はやっぱり日本人でござるよ。 |
