Hmm, I only saw 2 episodes of it, but I had the feeling that it can't get the quality of the first series. However, Book 2 looks interesting.
I'll give it a next shot later.

SEASON 2, BITCHES!

So far, from what I've seen, it doesn't quite match up with Season 1. Definitely doesn't match up with Avatar: The Last Airbender. Hoping it gets better soon.

We can always hope.

I think the main problems are that they're trying to fit too much material in one episode and that they're also trying to twist the plot about without showing both sides or developing much. A good part of A:TLA was development and character dynamics. This season isn't nearly as canonical about this stuff.

Still following it though.

Another thing is that in A:TLA, all three seasons were focused on Aang mastering the 4 Elements and defeating Fire Lord Ozi (and his wacky adventures along the way).

They've already ruined the option of trying to do that with Korra with season 1 being its own storyline, season 1 ending, and season 2 being a completely different storyline.

I do appreciate that it's 4 seasons of different stuff and not 4 whole series about trying to defeat Amon. That would be a pure nightmare.

Remember that the whole reason that Aang was trying to master the elements and defeat Ozai was because of the 100 year fire nation war. Korra began after Aang died, so that's what, 60 or 70 something years of peace. There's not a 100 year-old war problem.

Yes, I'd agree that 4 seasons of fighting Amon would not be very good. I didn't like, though, how she started the show off already knowing 3/4 of the Elements. I also don't like how she just slips in and out of the Avatar state at will (as seen in her air-ball racing).
