The constant laugh track got really annoying, really fast.

On the other hand, I like Raj quite a bit.

The laugh track is a little overwhelming at times, but I enjoy the plots and quirky characters.

Foxrain4: At work I have this one employee who always knock knock knock name name name knock knock knock on every door. I kid you not. It was adorable at first, our own Sheldon... it gets annoying very quickly

This show gets far to bad a rap from the nerd community. It's very good, the writing can be clever, and they capture some emotions very well. The laugh track is more bearable if you grew up with laugh tracks, though

sitcoms of 2000' assemble. big bang theory vs how i met your mother. who won? who's next? you decide!

Yeah, there are lots of good shows that arent mentioned(yet) in the community.

I like tbbt a lot. One of the best sitcoms of the decade plus it satisfies my geeky side!

TBBT wins, hands down  :P How I Met Your Mother is pretty good though, too (Modern Family isn't too bad)  :D

The geekiness of TBBT appeals to me... almost as much as the science channel shows (outrageous acts of science, how it's made, etc.).

Used to watch this all the time. Stopped when it became 75% sexual tension - seen some more recent episodes, looks better now, so maybe I'll pick it up again.

I feel like this is the show everyone loves. Loves to hate, that is. The laughtrack, as others have stated before me, can get a bit annoying, however, I quite like the show.

I wish they'd go back to more science-centric plots. I fell in love with the series because it made geeks cool, showed there's nothing wrong with being smart, and I liked watching the awkwardness of the introverted nerd. Agree with the too much sexual tension remark.
