Hmm, favorite anime is and probably always will be Darker than BLACK. I have watched it through once in sub, three times in dub so far.

Current anime I'm watching is Puella Madoka Magi Magica, I only have about 2 episodes left until I finish it, and I have to say, this is simply amazing. It takes the art style and general plot of the magical girl genre and shatters the light-hearted feel-good atmosphere apart in your face, and it only gets darker and more interesting as you go.

Second favorite would probably be Soul Eater. This has amazing animation and action sequences.

I don't watch with the seasons since I don't like waiting for new episodes.

Recently, I've fallen hopelessly for works like AnoHana or Ano Natsu De Matteru.  Currently revisiting Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuutsu.

I don't follow heavy shounen works and I prefer reading to watching.

Ano Hana is good...but after I knew it is such a tear-inducing story...I think I won't watch it till the holidays...

Some of my favorite anime are: Death Note, Code Geass, Angel Beats!, Clannad (made me cry pretty hard), and Ouran High School Host Club.

When I start watching an Anime, I always get one of 2 reactions:
1) I get super hooked and spend 10 hours a day until I finish it
2) I get bored and either force myself to finish it or just stop watching

It's always either one of the two. No middle ground.

I didn't really like the ending of Clannad.  I prefer "happy" endings.  If I wanted to see something sad in that regard, I'd get away from the computer and face reality.  I believe the best word to describe this is </mischan>

EDIT: When I say DBZ, I don't mean that GT stuff that popped up, or any of the hard-rock predictable movies. That's crap, IMHO.

There's the whole first couple seasons on youtube. I'm at season two....episode seven, part one. They split it up for space reasons or something.
