Chapter 9: The Life of a Prisoner

Shadd stood a little way away from the petrified girl., she moved slightly here and there, a sign that the Basilisk Blood was finally wearing off. He looked at her, and she slowly sat up, groaning at how stiff she probably felt. She looked around slowly, then blinked in panic. Her breathing increased rapidly, and he walked slowly over to where she sat.
"Hey," he barely got the word out of his mouth before an immense pain went through his cheek, knocking him back a little. He rubbed the side of his face, and shook his head. Had she just punched him? He looked at her, then crouched down to her eye level. "Ok, I know you're scared about being here," he talked slowly, trying to comfort her, she looked at him with a ferocious malice and desire for freedom, "but I'm going to get you to calm down." he soothed, and she backed up against the wall like a cornered animal. He knew she knew she could easily escape, there were no doors underground. But there would be a whole lot of guards keeping watch over the prison. One escape attempt, and she'd be locked even deeper underground. It seems she was already suffering from a great amount of anxiety from being underground. Or maybe that was just her fear of being trapped somewhere unknown...
"What are you staring at?" she snapped, "Don't you have somewhere to be?" she sounded scolding, as if she were trying to send a message. A hand plopped on his shoulder, and he turned around to see the one and only gravity apprentice, Ben. Ben smiled, and patted Shadd on the shoulder, signalling for him to go. Shadd just smiled and nodded, and left, looking back to see Ben on his guard spot, looking after the prisoner. He walked on, thinking to himself. Despite being underground for the first time, she was doing rather well. He'd have to talk to her at some point, of course when she calmed down. He touched his cheek tentatively, feeling the bruise she left. She certainly was a hard hitter.

***
"What's your name?" Shadd asked as he sat down in front of the entropy elemental. She just sat that, unresponsive. He looked at her, and she stared blankly back, as if she weren't interested in talking. He sighed, and she stiffened. "Maybe I should start first," he began, "My name is Shadd, and this is Ben." he pointed behind him to where Ben was standing. She looked up at Ben, then back at Shadd before finally speaking as quietly as possible.
"I'm Discord." Shadd strained to hear her, but had finally caught it. He smiled, and turned his back for a minute, pulling something out from behind him. Discord just looked at it, and watched as he unwrapped it. Discord's eyes widened at the sight, it was food. A shout sounded at the end of the hall, which disrupted the entire event that was unraveling. Ben scuffled his way down and spoke quietly, Shadd looked over to see an earth soldier talking to him. He nodded and Shadd, and Shadd quickly got up and ran over to them, ducking his head into the private conversation.
"Entropy came, they want their apprentice back," the soldier murmured, and quickly ducked out, striding down the hall. Shadd and Ben waited a few minutes, before hearing a terrifying howl come from above. They had come. Shadd ran over to Discord's cell.
"Come on, we have to go!" he tugged at her arm, but she didn't move. Within moments, he could hear the snuffling and growling of a werewolf from above, it was digging it's way down! A flurry of claws and dirt came toppling down between him and the entropy elemental. The beat the stood in front of him growled, then turned around and looked at Discord. He noticed, this werewolf looked like it was on some sort of poison potion. Without thinking, he placed his hand on the animal, and turned it to stone. He grabbed Discord, yanking her away from the spot she was sitting. She squirmed, then tugged back. He should his head, scolding, "You're going home." Having her was too much of a risk if entropy was going to freewill invade earth's domain.  He led her to the surface. Shadd looked at his mentor, seeing that he would not easily give up this prisoner.
"Give her here, Shadd." His mentor beckoned, and almost unwillingly, he let her go. For the short burst of freedom she had, she seemed to be ready to run. Poor thing...
Without another word, his mentor grabbed her, and bound her wrists with stone. The entropy general just growled, and stood his ground. This had gone into one big stare off...
Shadd sighed. This would be a while.

Chapter 10: Something in the Air.

Bird glanced at the tension between the two alliances. She wasn't supposed to be here, she knew this. But the way things went down the day before had interested her. She looked at the young entropy elemental that had been caught by the earth soldiers. She looked about ready to give up, but the fire in her eyes was rather unbearable to look at, even from way up here. Finally, something happened. Bird watched with interest as a few earth and gravity soldiers flopped, taking cover from a big wave of purple heading their way. A few didn't make it in time, and ended up being frozen, or thrown to oblivion. All at once, the two armies charged at each other. in a flurry of darkness and earth, a few soldiers went still probably with Basilisk Blood, or some fell to the ground, twisting in pain from the liquid shadow that was inflicted upon them. A few werewolves howled, everything went dark. An eclipse. Bird grumbled, now she couldn't see anything that went down below her. A moment more, something hit her on the head, and she fell from the air. What was that? she thought to herself, before hitting the ground lightly. Air elementals couldn't feel pain. She got up, brushed herself off, and looked at the chaos around her. Soldiers screamed, and some fell to the ground with a thump. She shuddered. Was this really what war was like? It didn't look like a big show from down here.  A soldier fell on her, and she gasped. Within another moment, she noticed it was the young entropy girl that had been captured. Her purple eyes glowed faintly in the dark, and she shouldered her way past Bird. Bird stopped her.
"What do you want, airhead?" she snapped, and turned around. She didn't look like she was in a good mood. Bird's rage grew, and she grabbed her by the foot, bringing her up into the air.
"You wanna say that again?" she grumbled, and the young girl looked terrified. "What's wrong? Afraid of heights?" she taunted, and the young girl's iridescent purple eyes shined brighter now. She snarled, and squirmed, useless in the air. Bird took her chance, and dropped her. The girl yelped, but it came up short, and she hit the ground. Now bird was in control, as she sucked the very air out of her lungs. The young girl looked as if she was barely effected, and without another moments hesitation, she stood up, and tackled Bird. In a tussle of purple and light blue hair, they rolled along the ground, punching and kicking, and even biting. A werewolf rider, who ha barely had the chance to notice the two girls, now chuckled and watched in amusement. The girl looked at him.
"Hey!" the soldier instantly stopped, and looked at them again. His eyes widened in surprise, and he exclaimed in delight.
"You're...ALIVE!" he cheered, and slid off the werewolf, which just stayed there. "Are you alright, Discord?" Bird just got up and dusted herself off, Is this what dirt felt like? She turned her attention to Discord. Her hands were still bound with stone. The soldier seemed to notice this as well. "hmmm," he inspected them curiously, "we're going to have to find a way to get those off of you."
"I'll be fine if you'd just break them off." Discord wished, but they both knew it wasn't an option. The soldier looked over to Bird, and she stared back as blankly as she could. Just as her mentor had taught her. The soldier shook his head, and turned his attention to the werewolf, which was now snuffing and scraping the ground. The soldier looked over beyond the wolf, and shouted, making a hand gesture at the same time. All at once, things seemed to break apart. The werewolves fell back, and and shadowy figures disappeared rapidly. This fight was over. Bird watched as Discord and her escort got on the wolf and followed the rest. Now she had to go too, she couldn't stay here, and if her mentor found out she was here, she'd be in huge trouble. She ran, and quickly made herself ethereal. One with the wind. Without another word, she flew home, hoping her mentor wouldn't be waiting outside the front gates for her return.

Chapter 11: Life is Life

Vita opened her eyes, and yawned. She had heard the bird chirping outside not too long ago, but now only heard silence. She got up and looked out of her window. There were no birds. Everything seemed to be dark and cold outside. She frowned.
"Seems like water has started playing with our lands again." she turned around to her mentor's voice. He was standing at her doorway. She nodded, and sighed.
"Shall we go teach them a lesson?" She kept looking out the window, fearing for the fragile life that was outside in the icy forest. He just seemed to chuckle and shake his head. Now Vita was confused, and she watched as a girl, dressed in shining iridescent turquoise walked into the room. Vita, now staring at a beautiful girl, realized this was the aether apprentice. She felt her eyes widen.
"I'm afraid this is the only option we have left, my darling." Vita just shook her head and walked out of the room. She was hungry, and now she could feel the chilling draft that was creeping into life's headquarters. It can't have come down to this. she thought to herself as she walked into the dining hall. Her mentor would discuss with aether what they had in mind for the war. She just wanted to stay out of that horrible thing! She sighed again. Was it really so hard to stay out of the bad things? She respected her ancestors, but she didn't know why they had to put such a burden on all 12 of these elements. She looked outside again. The ice on the trees held thick and heavy, as if it needed to be chopped off. Those trees would die soon without help. For once, she agreed with her mentor's decisions. Those water elementals needed to be taught a lesson, once and for all.

                                                            ***
Vita walked the halls, ready to end up at the meeting room. She opened the doors quietly, and snuck in, just as her mentor and the aether representative were talking about war plans.
"Hello Vita, glad you could join us." Vita froze as she realized she had been spotted, looking her mentor straight in the eyes. He smiled gratefully, seeming glad to have another life elemental in the meeting room with him. She just nodded and sat down, getting ready to see what they had to say. Vita looked at the aether apprentice,
"What's your name?" She asked as graciously and welcoming as she could possibly bear. The aether apprentice took no notice of her tone, and responded proudly.
"My name is Azia" Azia seemed to be more like a queen than an apprentice. Were all aether elementals as proud as that? She sighed and went back to discussing with her mentor about the different tactics to use against water

This would be over soon... Vita promised herself.

Chapter 12: No More Cold

Vita stood at the border between water and life territory. Today would be the day she and her comrades finally set things straight. She looked over to Azia. She seemed ready as she nodded back at Vita. Vita waited for her green nymph to return by her side before continuing on. Azia started on her job, and quickly poured the Quintessence on a few life creatures to keep them safe. They both looked at the adrenalined creatures. The frogs, birds and scorpions that had lined up in front of them, and looked as if they would b burst at any given time.. She didn't plan on using them against the water and fire soldiers. She would have the pleasure of getting revenge herself.
"Are you ready?" Azia's voice brought her back to reality, and she looked back at the horizon. It seems as if the water soldiers were ready. The big steam machines behind them for backup. She could hear their cluncking from here, and the ground vibrated with their distant foot steps. They were charged and ready. With a flick of Vita's hand, creatures went pouring out across the battlefield, sharging headfirst into the machines that blocked their path. A few of them were crushed, but they continued on, driving a few of the mechanical beasts down. It took a few more minutes, but time seemed to continue. The creatures had done their duty, they had taken down the main line of defense. Now it was their turn. Vita drank the bottle of green liquid she had in her hands. It went down smoothly, with a tang. Instantly, she felt refreshed, and ready to go. She ran full speed towards the group of water and fire soldiers, tackling the first thing that got in her way. The man grunted, and looked at her,
"What are you doing here," he commented, and punched her down. She didn't give up, and withing moments, they were in a flurry of green and blue hair. "I thought Life elementals didn't want this war, nor did Aether elementals!" Vita just looked at him, demanding him to change her home back to normal. He just sighed, and looked at the tower behind him. Vita followed his eyes. A sparkling blue glow seemed to be emitting from it. With a few words, she summoned a dragon, and it came crashing down ontp the battlefield with a menacing roar. The whole fight seemed to all stop at once as they noticed the shimmering green beast instantly. It was big and bright. Without another word, she climbed onto it and flew it up to the tower. Now she could see clearly. It was shaped as a cage, an iridescent blue orb with a hollowed out inside. Was this what was making the life headquarters so icey? Regardless, she could hear shouting of the water soldiers below her. This must be what they've been using...
Without another word, she drew her staff, and pointed it at the orb, whispering something to herself.
"May the spirit of Vita Spar fix this wrong." Without another word, or hesitation, she lifted her staff, and whacked the orb with it in a heaving blow. A crack, large enough to split the ears, echoed through the battlefield, and everything went quiet. She could feel the cold that had gone over life headquarters vanish quickly.

She had done it..

Chapter 13: Out of Time

Celestia looked up. Air elementals above, and her fellow light companions around her. Her mentor had planned to attack time headquarters. Here they were, getting ready at the border. She watched as time and death elementals alike lined up in the distance. This battle would be different. Within moments, she noticed creatures behind them as well. They seemed well defended. She just smiled slightly. Today would be the day they won this. another moment, and Bird was beside her.
"Are you ready?" She whispered in Celestia's ear. Celestia just nodded, and motioned the pegasi she brought with her, forward. They launched into the air, with neighing and squealing, and dove straight forward out into the no-man's land of the border. The time creatures charged forward as well. Dragons, and scarabs alike. She watched as the two forces crashed together in the center, and the whole thing was an airborne flurry of: horns, teeth, and claws.
"CHARGE!" Celestia called, and almost in unison, they all ran forward. Again, meeting in the middle with the time and death elementals. She sparred a death elemental off to her right with her sword. Luckily it hadn't hit her, but it came close. He snarled and pushed forward. Within moments, she noticed he had an arrow in his shoulder. He screeched in pain, and fell to the ground, squirming in pain. She just looked at him, and walked away.. She looked up at where the arrow was from. It was Bird. Celestia just smiled gratefully, and nodded. Bird kept firing arrows from the air, hitting the enemies with deadly accuracy. She heard screams of pain and anger coming from where she shot. She was intrigued by the way air elementals never ran out of arrows.
"CELESTIA WATCH IT!" Bird launched an arrow over her head. Celestia turned around, watching in terror as a time soldier slunk to his knees. The arrow had landed in his chest. He moaned slightly before falling to the ground. She just looked. "Celestia," Bird called her name, and she just looked at her in sadness, "You need to snap out of it! These are your enemies, not your friends!" Celestia didn't know what to say or do. But she knew she couldn't give up. Not when she was so close... "We're almost done here," Bird comforted her, but it was in vain, "Then we can get out of here." Celestia just nodded, and looked around. They were only here to take a prisoner. The main target would be the time apprentice, if they knew where to find her in this chaos. Celestia looked over her shoulder, and gasped. There she was. On the cliff, holding a weapon in the air. In an instant, she knew what it was. It was an Eternity. In another moment, she blinked, and found herself standing in front of the light headquarters. She had failed to capture the time apprentice, she had forgotten about time's magic powers. Next time, she throught to herself, next time i'll get her...

Chapter 14: Fear of Heights
Ben sighed, and looked ahead at the air headquarters. It was in the sky. Ben shuddered, and looked at Shadd, who also shook with fear at the thought of going up there. Ben looked at his mentor, who looked back at him in obvious interest. Interest to see how he would do on this test. Earth and Gravity elementals weren't used to climbing, and most of them had a huge fear of heights. Still. They had been practising this for some time now, after the entropy girl had gotten away from being held prisoner.
"You ready?" Shadd seemed just as nervous as him, but Ben nodded, regardless. They both sighed, and began climbing. One of the Earth soldiers beside Ben, seemed to be paralyzed as the wind, screeching and noisy, wrapped around the climbers. Ben looked at him, offering him a hand. Who said people couldn't have friends in this war? The soldier just looked up, took his hand gratefully, and thanked him. Ben just smiled, and kept climbing, keeping the soldier close beside him. By now it was obvious the air elementals knew they were there. The wind seemed to grow stronger up here, enough to make you afraid to attempt to take another move. He heard a scream off to his right, and noticed that one of the gravity soldiers had fallen off, plummeting below, to his doom.
"Oh no." Ben just muttered to himself, and went to turn around, but went back to look as he heard to ferocious roar of a bacon dragon above the wind. His eyes widened as he witnessed his companion meet an even worse fate. Being swallowed whole by a dragon. Now he couldn't stand it anymore. He would avenge his fallen companion once he got up there. Now he could see the top, but the wind grew even stronger here. One wrong move. Ben soon found himself falling, butterflies and all in his stomach, but his fall was suddenly disrupted when he felt a cold hand on his. He opened his eyes slightly, and found himself face to face with Shadd. His arm was made of stone, and attached like clay, to the earthen slab that held the headquarters up.
"You feeling ok?" Shadd just smiled and laughed at him. Ben laughed back, more with relief than anything. Shadd swung him back onto the space beside him. Just as that happened, another dragon seemed to swoop just below the two apprentices, and landed on the gaping space below them. It's giant blue jaws wide open, as if waiting to catch Ben in his mouth if he fell again. Shadd just sighed and kicked at it's open jaws. It squealed and flew away. "You ready to go again?" Shadd asked, "We're almost at the top." Ben nodded, and slowly made his way back up to the top. Within moments, Ben felt the edge of the wall, and grinned at Shadd. Shadd grinned back, and both of them in harmonous unity, launched themselves up the wall and out onto the battlefield of Air's headquarters.

Chapter 15: Just the Way Things Are

Bird watched in horror. They had gotten past the defense line. She couldn't even believe they had climbed all this way just to pick a fight with them. Now she'd had it. This was one too many times they challenged air elementals. Enraged, Bird ran forward, her army behind her. But she noticed some of them were tripping. She looked down, just in time to see a hand emerge from the ground and grab her leg. She yelped and tumbled to the ground, taking the earth elemental in front of her with her. She looked at him in anger.
"What was that for?" She spat at him. He just looked at her. He grinned, and nudged her with his foot. Now Bird had had it. She grabbed his foot, and yanked him down, to face her. He punched her. "WRONG MOVE!" she squawked, and headbutted him. He huffed a bit, but it only took a moment for him to recover, and he headbutted her back. Taking no more, Bird screamed and charged, head on, towards him. He was prepared, and quickly moved out of her way. She hit a wall.
"And they say Earth elementals are clumsy" He teased. Bird suddenly went quiet. She turned towards him slowly. Shadd just watched, ready to move in case she charged again, She walked toward him, amidst the chaos that went on around them. Once she was face to face with him, she smiled grimly. Shadd's eyes widened as he realized what she was about to do.
With a swift move, she pushed him over the edge. "Have fun feeding the dragons!" She yelled to him as he fell. His stomach lurched, and quickly lunged his hand into the earth that held up the air kingdom. He panted and looked down at the gaping blue mouth of a sky dragon, ready to catch him if he fell. He growled and kicked it. It squealed, and quickly scrambled away, clearly getting his message. He looked up. The top was farther away than it looked. Looking down, Shadd noticed that a pool of lava lay below the headquarters of air. Is that where all the unwanted prisoners went? He shuddered. He had to get back up there. Merging with the earth itself, he slithered his way to the top. Safe from both the dragons and the lava below. He felt the vibration of feet above him, and stopped instantly. The feet stopped too, as if they had felt his vibrations. He rolled his eyes, and lunged his hand upwards, catching a person by the leg. Latched on, he quickly pulled himself upward by the leg, and found himself face to face with the fiery silver eyes of the girl he had fought earlier. He grinned, and she screamed in frustration.

Chapter 16: Leap of Faith

Bird just looked at him in utter shock. Then she felt her anger rise like a swarm of angry bees inside her. How had he survived falling off the cliff?. Without thinking, she punched him. He just looked at her. His chocolate eyes uncovering his hunger for a fresh battle. She felt a rock hard fist jam itself into her face, and she cringed, listening as part of her jaw made a terrible crunching sound. He had her pinned. She felt as if she was about to cry, but what came out next startled her just as much as it did the earth soldier. A bloodcurdling scream came from her mouth, and she found herself pounding at the boy's face. He took a step back, almost tripping. His eyes were still lit with a battle hungry earthen fire.
"Interesting," he whispered to himself, looking back at bird, "that was quite a punch you threw" he grinned. Bird felt her eyes widen as she stared at the somewhat injured boy. His left cheek was indented from the punches she had thrown at him. She felt a shudder go down her spine at how gruesome it must feel for him.
"I can throw harder ones if you want!" she snarled quietly. He just blinked at her, and smiled. Confused, but not nervous, Bird just sat there, ready to strike if he came any closer. She watched him sit there, unmoving for a few moments. Without another word, he stood up, and ran towards the edge of the cliff. Bird gasped, and ran after him, unsure of what she was going to do. Without another thought, she jumped off the cliff after him, only to stare in horror of what awaited her. An immense stone dragon was waiting for the boy at the bottom of the floating land. She shrieked, only to feel the hard thud of scales on her face. She gasped, looking down at the bright iridescent blue scales of a sky dragon. She sighed in relief, and looked over at the stone dragon as it flew away. Irritated, Bird clicked her tongue, and with a gust of air, the dragon roared and swooped towards the dragon and its rider. A wall of earth disrupted the momentary quiet that was in the sky. Bird grunted and met the stone with a shockwave, and watched as the wall crumbled downward. Now she had him. She rushed her dragon forward, only to be met with another dragon, colliding headfirst with hers. Now he had done it. She screamed, and tackled the boy, falling headfirst towards the ground.

Chapter 17: Of Stone and Wind

Shadd opened his eyes. The searing pain in the back of his head made him flinch. He looked to his left. The girl from earlier. She was laying flat on her back, unmoving. He crawled over to her, head pounding. She just looked at him in despair. The dragon a few feet away from her in a heap of scales and wings. She was breathing, at least. He sighed, and instantly recalled the words his mentor had told him.
"I'm sorry," Shadd whispered, "But I have to take you back to earth headquarters." The girl, eyes wide and breathing fast, jolted up, and whistled. The dragon just moaned. It had taken the fall hard. Shadd's senses woke with a start. Where was his dragon? He looked around violently, before noticing a pile of stone on the distance. The girl, now standing up, just looked at the two dragons in sorrow. She sighed.
"Looks like we gotta finish this battle another way then." The girl murmured to herself, before letting out a battlecry and charging, full steam ahead, at Shadd. Shadd felt a grin creep onto his face. He moved out of the way with ease, and watched as the girl tripped herself. Holding back a laugh, he walked over to his dragon, only to be instantly stopped by the girl. "I'm not going to let you leave!" she seemed angry now.  He sighed. This was not going to end well.
"Look princess-" He was cut off in an instant.
"Don't you dare call me princess, you caniving fool!" she snapped, and wrapped her hands around his throat. He shook her off, and turned around. They both just seemed to stare ar each other for an eternity, until finally it was broken. A dragon, iridescent blue, made it's way down to meet the two.
"Come on, Bird," came the voice of an air soldier, "we don't have all day. Let's go." The young girl just sneered, and looked hastily back at Shadd. He smiled misheviously, and walked away. He would get her next time. He made a promise to himself about that. Walking over to the pile of broken rocks, he called a name.
"Come on, Cryst." he whispered, "Let's go home." with a great moan, the pile of rocks reformed to show the stone dragon, alive and well. It sniffed at his shoulder, which had an open wound. He chuckled, and climbed the immense being by it's extended wing. Now all he had to do was report back to his mentor about how things went.

Chapter 18: What a Mess!

Discord yawned. Why must they always do battles so early in the morning or late at night? Regardless, she snapped to attention as soon as she heard her mentor's name.
"Discord." the drunken tone in his voice hinted that he had been to the inn recently. She sighed, but kept quiet. Averting her attention to the battlefield, Discord noticed the line of soldiers building up on the far side of the field. Time soldiers. She looked up. Dragons, and a whole lot of them. She nudged her mentor, which then looked up at the battle ready dragons. He cussed, and shook his head. Discord thought for a moment. then looked at the sandy ground behind her. She smiled, and drew a map. marking where they were, and the distance of the dragons. She looked out on the field again, marking different cover spots and hole to hide in from the dragons. Subconsciously, she noticed her mentor looking over her shoulder, and turned her head to meet his pondering eyes. He just smiled a small smile, and pointed quietly at the map. Discord stiffened. He had never payed much attention to the things she drew out. So why now, of all times? In a moment, he had a stick in his hands, and was drawing a line through her map. From one cover marker, to the next, to the next. A twinkle in his eye brought Discord to her senses, and she called out to her team. They hustled around to see the map she'd done. In another few moments, they were discussing different strategies to use to get across the field. Discord, however, payed no attention, and looked up at the waiting dragons. They could smell the entropy by now, and were dying to get their claws on something. She felt a hand on her shoulder, and looked back to see her mentor ushering her forward. He pointed towards one of the covers she had marked, and nodded at her.
"You guys go on ahead, i'll catch anyone who falls behind." She announced. The others simply murmured and nodded. Her mentor looked up once, then waved the team forward. It only took a few moments, and before Discord knew it, she was running for the little cave only a few feet away. At a closer glance, she noticed the rigid walls of where it was dug out. Probably caused by an earth elemental. A shout sounded in her right ear, and she looked over to where it was directed. Her mentor lay there, drunk and half conscious. She looked up. A Silurian dragon was closing in fast. Taking her prayers, she charged full speed ahead, practically diving to cover her general's unconscious body. She closed her eyes, awaiting the fate the dragon's claws held in store for her. What came next was unexpected. Opening her eyes, Discord looked up to see a purple dragon in the air, clawing at the giant time creature. It shrieked in pain, and tried to fight back. However, the iridescent purple gems on the chaos drake only protected it more. She took another look at her mentor's body, then back at the dragons. She shook her head, she needed to drive that thing away if she ever wanted to get her mentor to safety. A menacing snarl came from the time dragon. Picking up her drunken general, she passed him to the nearest soldier, which then carried him back to the cover of the cave. Discord looked over to the purple creature awaiting her. She climbed on, and ushered the dragon upward, towards the ready Silurian. Now it was all fair game. She could see a time elemental riding it. Now if only she knew how to work these...

Chapter 19: Could Have Been the End

Wind whistled through her hair, she dare not look down. She looked up. The Silurian dragon was just in front of her. She looked down, and shuddered at how far away everything looked. Looking back, she was surprised to see the dragon and it's rider had moved. Jumping, she heard the ear splitting cry of a dragon above. She looked up, and moved to the side, letting the huge creature plummet straight down beside them. The dragon followed without a command, Discord yelped. What was it doing? She shouted, the ground rising up to meet them fast. She couldn't look, ready to feel every part of her get crushed. The roar of dragons brought her back to reality, and she opened an eye. Just above the ground, she could see a girl on a dragon beside her.
"Can't you ride a dragon?" she mused. Discord just growled as the girl slowed her dragon to fly behind her. Thinking fast, she ushered her dragon up. She looked back to see the girl, and grinned. Just as planned. Taking a deep breath, she tugged on the harness gently, and the dragon  went upside down, moving past the girl behind. she grinned as the blonde looked helplessly at her from underneath, and brought her dragon back to normal behind the time elemental. She looked back, a new fire in her eyes. Without another word, the girl dismissed her dragon, and jumped back, catching Discord by the leg. The now terrified duo both clung tightly onto the dragon, which seemed to carry their weight with ease. Discord kicked at the girl, but was quickly counter with a hard grasp. A jolt of pain went through her leg, and she screamed. Startled, the dragon rolled over, getting rid of it's passengers only to land on the ground. beside the two wreslting females. Amused, it sat and watched them tussel on the ground.
"Discord!" a voice had called from behind the dragon, and all three of them turned their heads to look at it. It was her mentor. She waved her back, and she instantly followed, hoping for some rest.

Entering the small hideout again, Discord sunk onto her knees, holding her head between her hands. She'd had enough for today. Looking back at her ankle, she noticed it was bent at a strange angle, though no pain seemed to be triggering. Relaxing herself into a comfortable position, she searched the packs for stuff, and quickly found what she wanted. Her mentor's drinks. Now or never... She thought to herself, and quickly took the lid off, lifting the bottom of the bottle to the roof of the cave.

Alas, war is over. And as the moon goes black, and the night goes quiet, he emerges from the shadows. Master of Darkness, Physsion, and his faithful team of Aves, Calindu, trashduke, chrispybacon84, and Rapidstar. They had won. Through the worst and the best, they had fought through it all. They had won. No more war. Calindu handed the flag over to Physsion, and with a deep breath, Physsion stabbed it into the ground. This was their land now...
