Great Card... One can handle a whole plethera of creatures.
-
my favorite light card, it has an amazing effect and an amazing attack. honestly, i think it may be too cheap. (imo)
a great combo with armagio (imo)
-
It's not too cheap, because the effect basically sucks. Also, grouping this with armagio is pretty hard because you need to make an effective duo which must also win somehow.
-
easy, 6 arch angels, 6 armagios, some blessings, momentums and the rest are pillars, armagio will only be used as defense, and the angels will be used as offense/healing any creature that gets hurt. i tired the idea a while ago, but it got killed by a rof/oty combo... i couldnt heal enough...

The problem is that most decks will be able to get more than 30 damage on the table, therefor killing your armagio.

good point, the deck idea would be best used against ais
-
Still, this card is awesome even NOT considering the ability :)
-
The unupgraded needs some love.
-
The unupped sorta sucks, but... the upped is a 7/7 for 6 with an anti-CC ability? Madness!
-
Unupped stinks, only ever seen it used in the Butterfly Angel deck, and that was just because the Angel fits the theme, not for its skill or anything. The upped version is fine IMO. maybe a further cost reduction to 2 for Guardian Angel? Still, doesn't help that fact that it sucks.
-
I've always wondered if the Archangel shouldn't be able to also target players.

That would probably be OP. Especially with the addition of Fractal (that card kills all creative ideas)...
-
Though the heals of this card are potent, one of the only practical scenarios to use it in is with Armagio. Apart from that, the 5HP it heals is pretty useless as a skill. Unless the opponent is packing Lightning or you plan on using a very sturdy creature as shield (that Reverse Time can't do away with easily), this card cannot flaunt its healing.
I can agree with petersenk's feelings in that this card is not all that strategic or one of the more effective cards in the element of :light Light.
Though I still think :light Light should avoid being classified as the element of healing life, I think this card would be a little more interesting if it could heal any target but instead heal them for about 3HP. This would not only make the standard version a strategic counter to SoSa, but it could make it a more strategic card all-round. 3HP seems to be a good amount in terms of healing creatures, as usually healing 5HP is overdoing it; many creatures don't even have 5HP.
Granted, this suggestion should probably also be accompanied by a slight nerf of the Archangel to possibly a 6|7 creature for 6 :light.
What do you guys think? Would it be too redundant with Sanctuary, a card focused on more passive, yet more potent healing?
-
i feel this card needs a more "guardian" aspect than just healing a creature. maybe the ability to protect the targeted creature for one use (cant be targeted and cant stack). maybe give the upped version and unupped a kindof different ability. like the archangel can heal the player (but not protect it) while the guardian angel can only target creatures.
-
I like the idea of unuped healing just creatures, the upped healing only the player. It could never be spamed because of it's high cost.

RoL.
Well, I don't know. In games with no restrictions these are not great cards because most if not all decks are either hardcore rushes or hardcore stalls, none of which healing will be useful against. However, in the games I've seen them, they have generally been pretty useful for healing, especially against poison-type damage.
The main issue is, IMO, that nobody would Lightning once only if it wouldn't kill a creature, with or without the Angel on the field so it's healing ability doesn't get my use. If more damage dealers over time would be created/buffed (see, Plague) I imagine the Archangel's ability would be quite a lot more useful.
Guardian Angel still would suck though, because it has no attack.

Say again????

Oh. My. Butterfly!

I am just checking out Buff this card area of forum
I still think (like i did 2 years ago), that angel heal should work like a mini holy light, but for 5 heal / 5 damage, and does not work on avatar.
-
hum i'm thinking that it should be possible for angels to "overheal" their target for 1 turn if they had full hp as an anti-CC tactic or to simply guarantee the survival of a weaker creature or something like golem, even a sudden hp buff on an oty for greater nom reach. just an idea i got (and yes i play a lot of TF2 as a medic ahaha)

Actually, I agree with this. However, I still think that Light needs a cost effective attacker, so we shouldn't nerf it's attack. It's light's only cost effective creature in mono. Also, we are forgetting about raging angels, a pretty decent deck that if it only healed 3 (previous quote, not sure how recent) would fail.
-
how much of an "overheal" would you suggest? 2 or 3 hp seems right to me

Sounds awsome and Looks awsome but isn't 7/7 a bit to Powerful?

its powerful, but not OP, considering its cost
