Trigger all effects triggered by the death of a creature.

NOTES:
Every use of this skill is treated as if a creature had died by Bone Wall, Boneyard/Graveyard and creatures with the ability 'scavenger'.
If the skill is used while Schrödinger's Cat is afflicted with Aflatoxin this does not produce a Malignant Cell.

hm.... it seems rather good. but at the same time, a little pointless. hm.....

I think this card is glorious.  Good show.

Clever, I wish there were more death triggerable effects though.

It can turn into a malignant cell without really dying?

wow cool idea :) i know about this theory and it was funny for me to see this card

thumbs up

Make the card real just because its from Big Bang Theory :P

This card is amazing.  It's a brilliant use of a known concept, it creates a whole new field of :entropy / :death synergy, and it's not too OP either, being very easy to kill.

I love it.  Crucible, plz.

Awesome card.  And I would love to see an umlaut in the game.   :D

Lol, name and concept fits with Maxwell's demon.
And not pointless. With bone wall this can fend off any single creature indefinitely.
Its cheap cost makes it target for fractal.
Dunno what will happen with a malignant cell, but since that comes with 2 poison, and this cat is weak, it won't be exploitable easily.

That reminds me of my imaginary dog named Pavlov...  :)

I think it's an okay idea, not powerful, not weak, balanced, but out of place because there aren't many cards that can support the cat or vice-versa.

hahaha. nice idea. i approve it, simply because its physics related^^

reminds me of this:
http://zs1.smbc-comics.com/comics/20100424.gif

but seriously, it doesnt seem too powerful. doesnt have too much hp, and also the ability cost is allright. i like it.

PS: the ability should really read:  :entropy :entropy observe: schrödingers cat is either dead or alive. ;)

dont forget to mention, that you can only have two unupped cats at the same time in play and that you can only use the ability of one cat per round, because if one is dead, the other has to be alive :D

the upgraded version doesnt have these limitations of course^^

this gives me ideas XD

(just to clarify, this is a joke :) )

A well thought out card. Love the name, and the ability. Hope to see it move on soon!

Do the effects of dying include a creature on you field actually dying? One might argue that the effect of being killed is dying.

schödinger's cat is an imaginary experiment, proposed by erwin schrödinger, to explain the the strange behavior of quantum particles, by applying their laws to macroskopic objects (or in this case - a cat).

the short version: imagine a cat an i box. you dont know if its dead or alive. if it would behave like, for example an electron or photon, it is concidered both - dead and alive - at the same time, until you open the box (observe the cat). the act of observing causes the cat to take on one of the two states.

I like the card concept.

Just to clarify:  this only would trigger :death things like scavenger/bone wall/graveyard and not things like "devour" where creatures gain stats through killing other creatures, right?

Devour is a skill that is activated, not triggered, so naturally this card's ability couldn't trigger it. And if Schrödinger's Cat gets devoured it is just like any other creature getting devoured.
It can turn into a malignant cell without really dying?
Dunno what will happen with a malignant cell, but since that comes with 2 poison, and this cat is weak, it won't be exploitable easily.
If afflicted with Aflatoxin it also acts exactly like any other creature afflicted with it. If Schrödinger's Cat uses its ability while afflicted with Aflatoxin it doesn't create a Malignant Cell.

Make the card real just because its from Big Bang Theory :P
it was actually a real experiment by (you guessed it)Schrödinger

It's a thought experiment, so it hasn't actually been performed for real. There is also no need to perform it as we wouldn't learn anything from that ... not to mention the moral issues here.

I love the physics in this, I actually made a thread about the experiment... kind of as a joke (completely as a joke)

http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6996.msg82773#msg82773

But the card alone will create enormous possibilities for :entropy / :death . I'm thinking 6x boneyard 6x schrodingers cat, a couple fallen druids and some SoR and you've got yourself a deck.

Nice card. Not much else to say. Suggest a minor nerf though--cannot be targetted with quintessence/immortalizing effects, since that would contradict its life and death ability.

great card! Would be very fun to play with! fractal this to create massive bonewall?

The real Schrödinger's Cat was based on that thought experiment. you did a good job of reminding us of it!  ;)

Yeah, thanks. Entropy is related to some physics effects, and this is one of them. Try making a card of the catastrophe theory if possible.

I think this is copying the idea of Maxwell's demon (physics anomalies) a little too much. Also, it doesn't seem that useful.

Well, a lot of people feel physics isn't very useful to their studies, so you have a point too.

Wasn't this at level 3 before?

Certainly, its not in the current level 2 voting, and the thread says that this passed to level 3.

I love the card, myself, by the way.  One of my favorites.

It looks like it was never moved to the Armory when it won.  Trickster | Identity Theft is in the same position.  I sent a PM to Kuroaitou about it.

Looks like this idea had sort of slipped through the cracks when it was moving up levels by accident.  :-X

This (as well as Trickster | Identity Thief) should now be in the correct sections. ^^;; Thanks smuglapse! :)

My head just exploded. :o Looks like I'll have to write an attribute to this guy later (anyone know how to activate the 'accented' o on a keyboard by chance? O_o)

That said, when the card becomes live, it will be moved into the Reliquary. :)

i was playing a lvl 3 AI who was using this, it kept on using this even when there were any death effects to trigger, i found that i could take advantage of this by destroying all his vultures and keeping it alive, might want to fix this somehow
