It has to lose infect, or SOMETHING! It is too overpowered as-is. There is no  :death card that doesn't need to die for creature control, and the balance of the game depends on that. I like the concept of it getting an attack equal to it's poison, it would have a cool synergy similar to the one voodoo dolls have with parasite.

Its high cost prevents him from being the perfect CC machine for Death. If you want living CC, you need something reliable and quick, not him.
He's fine as he is right now, name, art, cost, stats, effect. :)

yea, it has to be rare.. 5 :death |4 :death for p|8-p|10 looks crazy.. or not?

my decision's split between looking at it as balanced (it's pretty hard to buff that thing by yourself with mono-:death )
or not (poison immunity + cheap candidate for rage pots)

so, yeah, pretty much, bump, because this is an awesome concept  ^-^ ^-^ ^-^ ^-^

Just wanted to say that aside from an upcoming aesthetic change I'll be implementing on this guy (Death 1.29 backgrounds), thank you to all those who support this idea or at least have given this a look. That said, please don't forget to take a look at the INSPIRATION behind the card idea (i.e. - Krahl's Toxic Blob that was archived).

I love the idea, but does Infect work against creatures only, or creatures and players? (I rarely play poisons).  I'm not sure if Death should really have another player-poison, especially a repeatable one.  If it only affects creatures, though, I'm all for it!

Infect is a creature only ability. :) Poison (found on Chrysaora) and Venom (found on creatures such as Puffer Fish and Scorpion) poison the player directly. Of course, if you use 'Infect' on a Voodoo Doll, you can technically poison the player as well, but that mechanic is a bit trickier to pull off... ^^;

Death already has enough poison-based skills (Arsenic, Deathstalker, and Deadly Poison), but they surprisingly don't have any creature with 'Infect' (except Virus, which requires it to die for it to work) on a repeated basis, so I figure it would be interesting if Mono-death had access to this.

Apologies for asking, just something for quick clarification. Plus the big necro.

Toxic is the passive ability and is not removed by Liquid Shadow, whereas the :death Infect ability is active and is removed by Liquid Shadow, am I right? A death/darkness duo with Parasites, Liquid Shadow, aflatoxin and a couple of these leads to an incredibly powerful sludge. I like.

How does this react to antimatter/purify? If you purify toxic sludge, does it gain negative two attack to heal the opponent? Antimatter does not look like it would work on this, since P is calculated based on poison counters.
