Whether or  not the purpose of pendulums was to promote fewer elemental decks does not change their effect.

The effect of elemental pendulums is that is has a different quanta distribution than pillars.

Different deck ideas require different quanta distributions. Adding more quanta distributions allows more of these deck ideas to work.

Pillars allowed Mono, Duo and Trio decks to work were the elements were about balanced except for those powered by the mark.

Quanta pillars allowed Rainbow decks that had an equal use of every element.

Immolation allowed pillar less decks that had a large mono fire portion and a rainbow dip from the other elements.

Elemental Pendulums allowed more consistent Duos and Lopsided Trios and Quads. (By lopsided I mean 60/20/20)

Quanta pendulum would allow a mono/rainbow hybrid that has more of the mono than previous rainbow decks. (because previous rainbow decks only had a mark to power the mono)

The more forms of quanta distribution are added to the game the more deck ideas would work and thus the more cards would be usable in the game and thus be able to be added.

I always wanted Quanta Pendulums :)
They are ideal for Timebows that are heavy on Time quanta with stuff like Anubis and flying Eternities, I wonder why they weren't designed together with the rest in the first place...

Anyway, as should be common knowledge, Zanz already talked about a Quantum Pendulum.  It would produce 3 random quanta or two of your mark, depending on the turn, and it would be a rare, but I digress.

If a Quantum Pendulum does make it into the game, I don't believe this card that girls made should be given credit, mainly because everybody and their mother has already talked about it anyway.

That kind of Quanta Pendulum would be a game breaking overpowered card. The suggestion here is a quantum pendulum like we all expect it, 3 random and 1 of you mark switching each turn, the other one 100% overshadows any mono tower with the two of your mark and ruins t50 with the capability of setting up a farm with 30 indentical rares.

At least that's how I see it.

Quanta Pendulums are very usefull in Timebows, because generally, you don't have enough :time to fuel a lot of Hourglasses, use Anubis, 6 unupped Sundials and Eternity with common Quantum Towers. Pendulums however, ensure a lot more :time.

Let's put it this way: A normal pendulum starts out as a pillar of one type, and switches to a pillar matching your mark, back and forth until you crush your opponent with balanced quanta generation.
Ex. Earth pendulum, time mark. You play it, it is effectively an earth pillar. When it creates quanta, it magically turns into a time pillar. Once that makes it's quanta, back to earth.

Now Quantum pendulum is simply Quantum pillar + mark combo. Hence 3 random/1 mark is balanced. You play it as a Quantum pillar, once it gives you all the quanta you don't need it turns into a pillar matching your mark, say time. It produces one time, then back to quantum pillar.

One of mark is balanced, also because it is FOCUSED. Quantum pillar is random, even thought it is more. you get 1/4 of the one you want on average, rather than 1.

And for the comes into play upgraded, Think of it as it is two towers combined. When it swaps, the comes into play effect doesn't trigger, but when you play it it creates quanta of the type played (quantum is 3x random).

And who knows if this is going in. Quantum marks is similar to this, theoretically balanced.
The problem is that rainbow is to versitile, taking the best from the best.

What we need is more bolt spells , such as fire, ice, drain, and stone skin. (you don't see fire bolt in rainbows now, do you?)
And consumption spells (miracle, fractal).
I know both of these have many ideas flying around.
