Example 2: You have a dimensional shield and armory on the field. The dimensional shield has one turn left. You play dimensional shield. The old one returns to your hand, but the game remembers how many turns it has used up. SERIES:

Changes from version 1: Unupped affects shields as well. Upped costs 1 less.

as far as dim shield/wings go, could have the counter follow along with the card inside the hand, either frozen on the turn it was removed until its replayed or continuing to count down each turn.  not sure on cost, my gut says lower but have no rhyme or reason to it.

I love this idea! It's got my vote!
Thematically it should work with shields, and I think I have a way to fix the chaining problem - in the coding, save the number of turns left. The game can already save the composition of a Shard Golem, so it should be able to for shields I think.

AH, if it can do that then it can surely save the number of turns. By thematically it should work with shields, do you mean the unupped should in addition to the upped? Because the upped already does.

Well, i had misread that the upped included shields. I'd be fine with it for the unupped too, but not having it makes it a worthy upgrade. As for the questions in the notes, I do think 5 or 4 is a good cost, and that it fits in Earth best.

Cool! I think allowing it to affect shields too would make it a very valuable card. This would let you swap out your shields and weapons to adapt to your opponents strategy. Very nice! I hope it makes it in the game.

I think this card may be over-costed, at least unupped - few decks use multiple weapons that would want to change them out for one another, the only one I can really think of would be an Animate/Crusader/Weaponbow, and that's not exactly a common deck.  Where or when would this card be used?

Considering adding shields to the unupped and lowering the cost of the upped. Sound fair? I'll do so tomorrow unless I get some strong opinions against it.

Unupped is rather useless, Upped is rather OP. As written, it's possible to simply have infinite Dim Shields, Bone Walls, etc. for no cost. If those combos are somehow discouraged (saving counters, etc.) then the card needs a huge cost reduction.

The unupped isn't that useless. It enables Crusader decks to cycle the weapons for variety. And it could help the AI, which plays weapons over each other quite a lot. As for the upped, if the game can save shard golem compositions, why can't it save turn counters?
