the shield, weapon (and mark) slots are not in the first 5.
Are these excluded completely, do they always count for the first 5, or are they always destroyed?

took me quite a while to understand Lava Flow.

the ability text is not at its best/clearest.

 I understand what you mean by
"Stacks count as a single permanent",
but its difficult to capture that information in a quick way
as its like i am reading some illogical sentences.

why not simply
"Destroy any stack of permanents past the first five owned."

and why is the shield, weapon slots not in the first 5?
aren't shield and weapon permanents as well?

to the gameplay concept of Lava Flow,
i find Lava Flow to be the twin of Flooding,
Flooding controls creatures,
Lava controls permanents,

it fits into elements thematically totally
and is probably the best "lava" card i have seen.

Fair enough, I guess stacks are more intuitive than I think they are. Will update wording when I get a moment.

aren't shield and weapon permanents as well?

I was afraid of having that happen for the same reason I didn't want Marks to be destroyed but on second thought locking out weapons/shields may not be a bad idea - I will consider it though Immaterial shields/weapons may remain immune to destruction.

Glad you like the concept of this card. I will do my best to keep improving it.

Card Updated:
- No longer ignores shields and weapons, but immaterial permanents won't be destroyed. (PA synergy)
- Wording simplified.
