Don't be expecting to kill half bloods within your first days of playing the game!
I'm okay with not killing them. The problem is I saw no progress... but I cracked the L3/Elder, and grinded that until Half-Blood became possible. I'm doing a little better than 50/50 against them. Also slayed my first False God, mostly cuz I got lucky with my draw and he got unlucky with his. But I'll take it.


So what's one of the first aether cards I should upgrade?

Mono aether unupped beat Half Blood pretty often. just run 6 dragon 6 shield 2 lobo 2immortal maybe and rest is pillar/pend (don't forget to split in case of EQ).

If you're planning on going the mono-Aether route, you actually should start by upgrading the pillars. It sounds weird, but Aether's upgrades really aren't all that hot insofar as the major offensive cards (Immortal, Phase Dragon) get more expensive when upped.

The tutorial forum helped me a lot. Because of it, in a little more than one week of play, I'm able to kill gold/platinium in a rentable way and to farm some false gods.

I like hard games. It's far more interesting than easy ones.  8)

I like challenging games too. This game was definitely just a little too confusing at first. But out of sheer stubbornness, I think I've passed the tough part of the curve and I'm starting to have a lot of fun.

Just got a shard of serendipity. Seems like a good thing for a rainbow deck with lots of quantum pillars.

Anyone recommend any good rainbow decks that lean towards aether? Something that uses the electrocutor/lobotomizer, and maybe some fractals or mind gates?

I made a new account a while ago after failing with different tutorials I tried with older accounts and quickly farmed against ai3 in 1.28 with grabbix racing to do so before grabbix got any nerfs(I knew it would) and then 3-4 days later once I had Liquid Antimatter unupped and ~3000 electrum I farmed False Gods in the trainer to get a feel for the deck's strengths and weaknesses and how to get around them as well as how to use the wiki's skip guide for the deck. 2 Weeks later I made my mostly unupped no-rares RoL/Hope and am now farming gold and FGs with great consistency. :) However I haven't gotten a single lobo or any new shards.

Just got a shard of serendipity. Seems like a good thing for a rainbow deck with lots of quantum pillars.

You could try something like this. I'm not a master in creating stallbows, but you get the idea.

BTW with the quanta cap every deck that kill with firebolt aren't availbale anymore, specially vs FG.

If the suggested death deck is not to your liking, I suggest a firestall. It's tasteless I concede but it allows you to faceroll, farm AIs and Troll annoy people in PvP1 and 2 when upped. That's how I got to where I am now, although I'm no napalm or higurashi or Essence
