Hi,
My name is Janice. Or if you prefer short nicknames, you can call me J. I have been playing Elements for over two years now (a friend convinced me to play). Today is my one year anniversary of signing up on this site. I have read posts here periodically, but never posted. I had two main reasons for not posting. First, I normally play different than the average gamer so I didn't feel that my input would be needed or desired (most advanced players seem to abhor sixty card decks). Also, the avatar which I always use to represent myself will likely never be able to be used here (I am much more of a live chatter than a forum poster) (fyi, the picture is of a rose that I grew).
I have met some very nice people playing Elements.

My game chat room has been Kongregates' Elements room # 2 as I prefer a nice room (largely troll free) and it is much easier to get to know people in less busy rooms. Fyi, I leave my computer on all day, so just because you may see my name there, it doesn't mean that I am actually there.
However, I am now on a mission to find a few places to post. Submachine has been chatting with me lately and informed me of the pvp Leagues, which I am definitely interested in playing. He has also finally coaxed me to start making posts so that I can occasionally participate in the pvp tournaments. I am not usually available on weekends, so it will be infrequent that I can participate there. But if I can get my ten posts in, then I can compete whenever my time and the tournament's time synchronizes.
With my regular deck I can beat a top player then turn around and lose to a beginner. Lol. I have enjoyed playing this way, but I realize that it won't be good enough for these competitions. I need to master how to be more consistent in pvps. So I am currently trying to learn how to think differently. Having spent so long playing one way, it is harder than I'd like, to change my way of thinking. But I will be working on it. If I am not prepared by the time I compete, then I will just have to play my traditional way. I am both a good winner and loser. To me the importance is having fun; and making friends along the way is definitely icing on the cake.

Best wishes to all,
Janice
