Yes, Antimatter kills it UNLESS the ability 'Regret' is removed. Regret is automatically triggered each turn, unless Kuroaitou doesn't attack (Sundial, freezing/stun effects, etc.). Adrenaline also increases the rate at which it loses attack (similar to steam engine), but cards such as Blessing, Eclipse, and even Rage Potion can help it live that much longer. Kuroaitou is a 'transliteral/translation' of 'Black (or dark/deep) Regret (or sorrow/guilt)'. In a way, I linked the idea of a reluctant tree creature that attacks the opponent, but overtime, loses attack (branches) because it has some sort of emotional tie to dealing/receiving pain to another being (think of the Forest of Suicides in the Divine Comedy by Dante Aleghri). Thus, each time it attacks, it gets weaker (losing hope/being remorseful of its actions) until it dies (hitting 0 attack). It can be abused by Fractal Spam, but that's a mono- rush isn't as common with its costs, and if the opponent has a shield out, it can greatly delay/deter the damage Kuroaitou can do if played early/multiple times. how is it a darkness version of giant frog? it loses attack *giant frog does not* It has a strong attack and hp *maybe upgraded frog has strong attack but not hp* and it dies if it has 0 attack *unlike giant frog* unless you are seeing an old version of this card the im an idiot but this is not like giant frog.

Kael Hate has posted my name in Kanji (thanks!). ^^; (Unfortunately, I suck when it comes down to knowing Japanese or Mandarin/Cantonese, since my parents never taught me their native languages. )

Anyway, yes, it is like Giant Front, but the problem is that with time, these creatures will begin to rot and become less effective. The good news is that it can't heal the opponent (unlike Giant Frog) if the opponent is using Antimatter or a Purple Nymph (ironically enough). Plus, it's a good way of having a death trigger after a certain period of time - the real weakness of this card is against shields that reduce/ignore damage in any shape or form, as it does overall damage the duration its out. (Remember, as long as it attacks, it still does 'Regret'.)

Eclipse can buff its attack by +2 (thus giving it 2 extra attack turns), and if it's combined with fractal, you can have a pretty nice rush going, but that's a different story. I don't want my attack to be too high to abuse that mechanic, and I want the card to have a modestly-high cost (considering has devourers to assist with quanta generation). How much would you suggest though? From 6 -> 8? 7 -> 9?

Indeed (thanks for the math!). However, are you comparing the upgraded version of Kuroaitou with the non-upgraded version of Horned/Giant Frog?

Without Eclipse, this card is somewhat useless, but reflects the nature of the card well enough - cards that increase stats (like Rage potion) can also make it 'live' longer, at the cost of it being killed more easily (isn't that ironic?) - thus, you the player also become regretful of trying to get more damage out of Kuroaitou, when instead you just lead it to an earlier demise against the Paradox ability, Rain of Fire, Lightning Bolt, etc.
