I recently made an account on deviantART, so that I can get copyrights for the few pieces of artwork that I've created. Both "Bloodshadow" and "Blood-Shadow" were taken, so my dA name is JohnSolaris (http://johnsolaris.deviantart.com/), my Light alter-ego.

I hope that posting the image here does not violate the copyright, since it's my OWN image that I'm posting...
Oh well, if anyone from dA asks, I'll just show them my One Winged Devil picture that I'll upload later.

It is an icon that resembles both a sun and a sword; those two objects are Jonathan Solaris's icons.

You don't have to use deviantART to get copyrights for your art. In fact, you don't have to do anything to get copyrights for your work (except creating your work, that is). You get copyrights the very moment you create anything.

If you move the top, bottom, and side blades together in your mind, the sword is more obvious

This is exactly what the picture is: a design. It's not a real sword that you can hold in your hand to hit people with.

I know I just prefer your other work. Your bat isn't really a bat ether it's a design but I still like that

100% sure. You get copyrights immediately you create your work (unless you did this while working for someone, in which case they get the copyright and unless you live in some strange country, which law states otherwise). You created a work, it's your right to decide what to do with it (still, keeping in mind other people copyrights, in case of work based on or using  existing work).
