The upped can reduce the damage your opponent does by 69 and make it have to choose between the ability or attack for only 3 quantum?

Really, really powerful.

Yeah, it would make many creatures useless, but when I'm changed the card I didn't think so much about it.  :-[
The card should be more balanced when I decrease the effect to -1|-0 and increasing the cost by 1.

I like the idea, but giving -1 and the ability thing seems a bit much.  The card would still be really usable even if it didn't do anything to opponent stats.

This doesn't target a particular creature, so does that mean it will effect Quinted ones as well?  This could be a solution to quinted Oty.  Can ensnared be lobotomized off?

The targeting works like every other field effect spells: it doesn't affect immortals. And you can't remove negative effects with lobotomize.
The attack decreasing is/was the main point of the idea, without it I could call it ensnare. :(

I think you mean "shrub" instead of "scrub."

Is the stat debuff permanent like the ability? If so I would suggest making both spells permanents so it's more obvious, plus it adds balance since the opponent can get rid of it.

The card names seem a tad off after the changes, an ensnaring forest should have a much larger debuff then scrub or shrub or w/e but the larger debuff causes balance issues. Perhaps the upgrade should be restraining brush or something? Plants of similar size to scrubs/shrubs logically have comparable debuffs but the quantity allows it to affect all the opponent's creatures.

Other than that, I think it's an interesting card, spreads ability control to another element at least.

Every attack change is permanent as long it doesn't say otherwise. And I think forest is ok because you can avoid the trees easier as scrubs. But I can change the name when it would suit better.

Isn't it almost the same?

They are different things. I suggest you use 'Scrub'.

2.a large area covered with low trees and shrubs, as the Australian bush.

shrub 1  (shrŭb)

scrub == shrubbery :)
Shrubbery == lots of shrubs, you step over it.

Scrub == Shrubs, low trees etc, a net of green and brownery that is extremely difficult to move through easily.

I used to live in the bush and play in scrubland. Its a fun place if you know what you are doing and a scary place if you don't.
