This suggestion is a GO. Please remove all usernames from deck idea thread titles. Reasons for this are explained below. Thank you.

It seems like the current trend is to put your name in the thread title when posting FG decks. I've even done it myself. For example:

"BillyBob's FG deck"
"False God Farming BillyBob style"
"BillyBob variation of JohnDow FG deck".

I propose that instead using our names, we give the decks themselves a name, preferable something that describes something about the deck. This way when we start archiving and listing all the decks (will happen soon), it will look much better.

Now this is not a big deal by any means and if everyone disagrees with me we can just forget about this whole thing. I just thought it would look better and make more sense.

Anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, please go read the thread titles on this forum section: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,87.0.html

Discuss.

I think that this is an amazing idea. I generally try to make up my own decks but occasionally I'll test out some of the other decks out there just for fun and to see how they work out.  If I could see more about the deck from its name than who made it then it would make that process a lot easier not to mention the benefits to archiving as you already stated.  I can see no reason why anyone would disagree with this, after all it wouldn't prevent them from putting their name in it as they could say it was billy bob's (insert description here) FG deck.

I'd say that the game version should be required either in deck's name or clearly visible in the first post. I've seen a number of people try a false god deck before looking at the date it was posted, then complaining, necroing, or posting their own variants of a pre-sundial-nerf deck ;)
May the force of the D4HK side be with U ^_^

Yeah definitely. I don't think it has to be in the thread name though. It can be on the first post.

Well, to keep it "fair" all kinds of name tricks like that would not be cool.

Would a cool name like "OMG! A Parallel Dragon!" be OK?

Of course. Idea is only to get rid of the deck maker's name on the title because it's not really needed.

There won't be a committee approving all the names beforehand. This would be a relatively loose rule designed to limit spam and make the forums more usable.

I agree 50%

Its ok to have the maker's name, because it goes to their credit and quick glance at the forum can see and easier to find the deck
BUT it must also include a custom name, could be funny, or easy to remember / refer to

For example, people in chat will say Yala's Poison deck is fun against FG, then Randomguy123 will want to find it in the forum, but hmm, where is it.
Now Its called Yaladilae's Poison Quartet, and people will clearly see, ahh Yaladilae, must be that one

But the reason there is a custom name is to distinguish it from others, and it is very important, especially you build later on more then 1 deck to have a name each. For example, I love puppychow's Rainbow t50 farmer... And Randomguy123 will ask, which one, there is like 1000 of them. But If I say I love puppychow's Order in the court, then randomguy123 will say, yea that is a super cool 1

Besides it is much easier to refer to a deck's name too

100% agree on the version thing! Hence I edit my other 2 FG to hav version also

The idea is that instead of naming your thread:

"Yaladilae's Poison Quartet" (with you name under it as thread starter)

you call it:

"Poison Quartet" (with you name under it as thread starter)

If randomguy123 comes to look for "Yaladilae's Poison Quartet" and finds "Poison Quartet" with your name as thread starter, I'm pretty sure he can connect the dots.
