SoSebows are good in Bronze to Gold, yeah. Now what SoSe does is grant you 3 cards for one. That's card advantage right there. So what you want to do is capitalize more on that and at the same time cover your weakness of getting mowed down by a fast rush. Furthermore, because SoSe isn't reliable, you need to pack key cards that you absolutely need. I always pack either two SoFo and two Gravity Forces, or two Pulverizers in my SoSebows for Arena, because spells like Explosion and Steal don't cut it. Not room for enough copies. Eagle's Eye is amazing with Bone Wall if you don't pack Pulverizers.
To continue with the theme of valuable cards, you need reliable offence. For that, you'll want growers or producers that offer infinite damage per card. Lava Destroyer, Forest Spectre, Steam Machine and Firefly Queen are the best ones. Pharaoh is another one, but because it costs

, there's no room. Why? Because the #1 thing controlbows want are Electrum Hourglasses. I normally run one, but tbh 2 is much more reliable. Archangel is great for healing low HP growers like Destroyer and is very hard to kill.
To beat rushes you need great shields and CC. Because space is so limited in SoSebows, I run Bone Wall and Phase Shield (the two best shields). I rely on SoSe to give me CC, however I do tend to pack an upped Pande. BW and Pande are best friends.
Druid is fun and Grabbys are alright, but Druid offers no reliable CC, has low HP and does no good initial damage. Grabbys die easily, but they alway do good damage as long as you have PC. If you run into a lot of single-target CC, which happens sometimes in Silver, 2 copies of Cloak is just plain amazing. An Ulitharid is equally amazing and stops ability-powered decks flat, especially with Cloak to protect it.
As for the quanta, it depends on how many SoSe's you wanna run. If you run 5, I recommend 7 QT's and one Amethyst Tower. 8 QT's work too in most games and usually lets you play Dragons from SoSe. 5 Snovas is preferable if you use 8 Towers: having 6 leaves a rather big chance to get one Tower and many Snovas, leaving you with very slow

buildup and very late SoSe's. If you go the rush route with Giant Frogs and Minor Phoenixes though, 6 Snovas is best.
Two example SoSe controlbows:
