NOTES:
This card generates you profit if you're forced to discard something from your hand. (Eg. if you drop a Maxwell's Demon you'll get 5  :entropy.)
Counters Nightmare, you can play every 2nd of the Nightmare-d creatures, even if you had no quanta for it earlier. Helps a lot against Rewinds, supports Fractal as well.
Remember, the bonus is cumulative: if you have 3 Sorcerers on the field you'll get the quanta three times! Basicly, that'swhy it's immaterial, otherwise it would be highly abusable via Fractal, Mitosis, etc. The reason behind giving this ability to an immortal Creature rather than a Permanent is the fact that decks having Nightmares usually have Steals too so it'd lost its main function as a Nightmare-Counter.

It should be (though, not must be) a Rare card as well; some elements have an additional Rare (eg. Miracle, Pharaoh) and I suppose all elements should have one of them.

Why use a new keyword "drop" in place of the keyword already used in the game, "discard"?

Lol, I was afraid that I wouldn't have enough room for the text. Nevertheless, I used the word "discard" in the Notes section and I'll change it later. (Frankly, I don't want to re-design the cards after each thing; I'll wait 'till enough suggestions/modification ideas/etc. arrive.)

Oh, and there are two typos.

Should be "Channeling [Brit. Channelling]: You get quanta after each card you discard equal to its cost."

D-mn I knew it looked "strange" somehow. ^_^
Is there something about the card itself?

Nice art you got there.

I highly approve of this card. It's got a nice mechanic and doesn't seem to need much balancing. I do think that it would work better as a Permanent for thematic reasons, though.

I agree, it would be better as a perm..
Seems balanced to me.

Indeed, I was thinking about a Permanent with the same effect.
The most important reason for a creature is to counter teh Ghostmare/Nightmare decks. In most cases, if a deck has Nightmare it also has Steal too and your Permanent is gone.
Frankly, as I wrote it in another topique, in my opinion Ghostmare is the most annoying deck. It's not the Ghosts. It's the support cards – most Ghostmares have massive Creature and Permanent control (Rewind and Steal), plus, the damage output of the Ghost is high too. You can lose due to many ways. Such a creature can help a bit, I think. (As a balance, it has mediocre Attack, especially compared to the price.)

Too situational when it doesn't have any attack to speak of, and thus too expensive in both cases. Even with a cost of 1 :aether though, I wouldn't use the unupped one if it has 1 attack. 3 attack seems to be good for a card that focuses on a situational non-damaging ability. Compare with Mind Flayer, whose ability is much less situational.

(Yes, it can be used in Psiontal or similar, but with too low attack it's not worth the card space.)

Aether is the prime Element present in all things, providing space, connection and balance for all Elements to exist.
Aether represents the sense of joy and union, and the ultimate potential of all things.

Hmmm, unupped seems better than upped.

I read in a topic (I don't remember where) that higher Attack also means that you need to use less slots in your deck and on the field for the same damage, I mean, a creature with x Attack is more valuable than a two with x/2 Attacks (plus, the shields affect a single damage source once).
However, the upgraded one can be 4|8 as well, in that case in upgraded form you get the same creature twice as it comes to Attack | HP. (Though, HP has very little significancy in this particular case.)
