Game the 1st:
Nova x2 in opening hand leads to quick Forest Spirit (turn 1) and Graboids (turn 2 and 3-ish? maybe 4th turn) along with Mummy and Recluses from the Bone Pillar x2. Held Explosion in-hand for quite a while just waiting for the Vamp Dagger OP to fall in order to destroy it. That never came and I won by more than a turn (50 HP).
Game the 2nd:
Zero Nova in starting hand and get much less damage down than bogtro in the early-going. This leads to a loss.
Game the 3rd:
UNBELIEVABLY good draw for bogtro, but believe it because it happened. Six-turn loss (maybe 5?) if I recall correctly.
*** Bogrto's summary probably has more to say for games 2 & 3. ***
Game the 4th:
Nova x4 (!!!) in opening hand leads to immediate Fog Shield. Later come Recluses, Mummy, and Lycan to provide win by half-turn (29 HP against bogtro's 30 damage - but Fog too!). Fog Shield blocked what seemed like 8.5 million damage this game. Not sure it was much above 40% overall but due to the EARLY casting (before bogtro had a turn? cannot remember coin toss this game) it was the MVP of the game, and it turns out the MATCH.
Game the 5th:
Nova x2 in opening hand (noticing a theme to the win hands against the loss hands?
leads to quick damage (quickly got down Recluse and Graboids with a Forest Spirit coming late-game) which beatdown bogtro quite quickly (6 turns...?) with HP to spare (@ 42HP against 24 damage).
Also of note, Discord came out early a few times but the "bow" aspect made the scramble mostly ineffective and the damage was absorbable. Additionally, bogtro had a super-high quanta draw (fail levels of high) in there somewhere but I do not recall when nor if it was a win or loss game for me.
In any case, well-played bogtro and I hate to have to defeat a fellow bottom standings team to get my first War match victory, but alas I had to take the win when available!
