ART:

IDEA:

NOTES:
Nontriggered active ability.
When attack hits 0, health becomes vulnerable.
If damage drains out RB's attack, leftover damage will transfer to health damage.

Armadillo starts out with high attack but can lose it quickly. However, it's a bit harder to kill off. A decent Gravity Pull alternative maybe.

Rage Potion: +0/+0
Accel: +1/+0
Anything that takes away health is considered "taking damage."
Antimatter will cause Armadillo to take damage normally. Its negative attack is considered zeroed out.

Earlier was Rolling Bug | Curl-Up (Reference to MC Escher).

Like this idea. A lot. Like really, a lot.

I might lower the attack to 6|7. Other than that... how would it work with accel, for example? Would it gain +1|0 a turn? If it's Antimattered, does it just lose health normally?

Thanks. :U

The idea was to give it low actual health so that it relies more on the attack side. I feel like giving it too much real health is kind of treading on Armagio territory, considering RB would also be at low (0) attack. Not to mention RB could already pass off as a decent Gravity Pull alternative.
Actually, I could consider a 6/4 or 6/5. What's your reasoning for the stat balances?

Yes, it should gain +1/0.
If I understand Antimatter correctly, I'd like for the attack to be considered in terms of absolute value - that is, if the attack is negative and RB takes damage, it goes up. However, it would be more realistic for RB to just start taking damage normally.

So, Drive is passive, meaning it cannot be lobotomized?

krackocloud, your work with :gravity Gravity cards never ceases to impress me and it seems to be your strength! This element is usually one that is hard to pull off and capture, and you always manage to do a very good job.

While I don't necessarily agree with the names of the cards, the name of the ability, or the fact that the ability is passive, I really like the themes and mechanics of the card. I do also think that more balanced out stats would suit the creature better. Just from the description of M.C. Escher's Curl-up, it seems to be more of an armored card as opposed to an offensive menace.

I think the ability warrants the fact that the creature be a quanta-efficient one, however I could see it more as an Abomination in terms of stats.

Thanks for the compliment! (Although so far I've only made 3 Gravity cards :U)
To be honest, I love Gravity as an element, but not as a deck. Despite being a newbie player, I'd love to see Gravity become just a bit cooler.

Balancing, well, that's why this thread exists, right? :V
For now I'm considering 6/4 or 6/5 at cost 5, unupped. Any thoughts?

I understand that the Curl-Up might not fit in amazingly with Gravity's themes. The only reason I used it really was because I imagined that if it attacked, it would try to run things over. If anyone has any other theme ideas, I'd love to hear them.

I personally like the fact that this mechanic is in :gravity Gravity for 2 main reasons. It is the element of control and direction.

And yes, you've made few :gravity Gravity ideas, but most of your ideas are of this element! Making few ideas however is not a bad thing.
Few ideas but good ones is always better than a slew of hits or misses.

I love it, and share your sentiment that gravity is cool, but gravity decks are not. I would love a card like this to be added, it's great, though I think a better name could be found.
