At any rate. I think its a very amusing idea. I would like to see more cards that use area effects. Its a nice in-between from global mass targeting and narrow single targeting.

7 :gravity to deal at most 9 damage. Another 3 after that for continuous bursts, and that's also adding +1 turn. I'm gonna have to say UP.

If this is under powered, you could always bump damage a little, or even add some other effect / side effect.
You could shorten the wording a bit:
" :gravity :gravity : Discard a card to deal 2 damage to target and 1 to surrounding creatures."

That leaves one line if you wanted to add something else...

E.g.: " :gravity :gravity : Discard a card to deal 2 damage to target and 1 to surrounding creatures. High cost cards increase damage."
or
" :gravity :gravity : Discard a card to deal 2 damage to target and 1 to surrounding creatures. Draw a card "
or
:gravity :gravity : Discard a card to deal 2 damage to target and 1 to surrounding creatures. (x uses per turn)" - where X is some number that seems good.
or
:gravity :gravity : Discard a card to deal 2 damage to target and 1 to surrounding creatures. May stun targets "

The only issue I see here is that you would either need to make the discard effect random or the creature targeting random... Otherwise it would require 2 targets being picked.

Beggars can't be choosers, but I would definitely prefer the second one common out of a cannon or something. No rush obviously, its not like this is jumping to Level 3 tomorrow. Thanks for the art!

On second thought, the casting cost might increase to 6-7 :gravity to balance the 3,2 damage. (since it is not limited to the weapon slot)

Spoiler for thinking out loud:
Owl's Eye costs 5 :air + 1 card + weapon slot for 5 attack and  :air :air for 3,0 damage
3 :air + 1 card and  :air :air for 3,0 damage
3,2 damage is about twice as powerful as 3,0 damage.
6 :air + 2 cards and  4 :air for 3,2 damage
8 :air + 1 card and  2 :air + 1 card for 3,2 damage

So say...6 | 5 summoning cost for a 3 direct damage and 2 splash damage, with the ability cost the same? (Plus sacrificing one card in hand)
