I like that having multiple copies actually has an effect :) Great mono synergy, and also with fractal/mitosis.. Nearly as powerful as the Freeze + Shockwave combo, but a bit more expensive.

Should it be hated because it has good synergy?
Look at the damage effect without the damage over time. It's a less powerful bolt with a limited scope.

I think its about right actually.
Granted the squid combo is nasty, but squids are quite weak and vulnerable...

Combining this with SoP squids could be very potent though...

Still thats several cards to combo in a deck and counters to it would abound.
(kill squids, eternity / rewind, destroy /steal SoP, lobo squids, quanta denial, voodoo dolls, immaterial based decks, etc)

Given the fairly high burst damage potential (3 damage to all frozen unupped or 4 upped) I think a small cost bump might be warranted.

All in all though I like this card... though I could swear I've seen something similar proposed before... frostbite or something like that.

Anyway, nicely done!

-PS: Does the effect stack? Clearly the initial damage will, but what about the damage over time? This will be quite significant.
Spoiler for A little more in depth damage analysis:
Squid freezing aside, assuming N frozen + this, thats a damage output of:

Unupped: 2N initial + N per turn for 3 turns = 5N damage total

Upped: 3N initial + N per turn for 4 turns (assuming use of congeal instead) = 7N damage total

Subsequent freezes will yield 3 damage each and congeals will yield 4 damage each...

Note: If stackable, all of this can be multiplied by the number of these in play

I had no intention of the damage over time effect stacking. Also why I was less skeptical of the initial damage.

Perhaps cut upgraded initial damage down to 2, increase cost of unupped by 1?
