After discussing in chat the potential of 30, 31 and 60 card pillar-decks, I see nothing but pillars from ARTHANASIOS. An Emerald Dragon, a Charger and a Staff wear him down to death with no opposition. Finished the game with two Otyughs and a Carapace on the field too, and a Gravity Shield in hand.

Let the mirror matches begin.

I won the coin toss. The first five or so turns for both of us consisted of playing Forest Spectres, which were promptly frozen. I managed to get lucky with two freezes on ARTHANASIOS's only two Spectres from two Ice Bolts. Once I had enough water quanta I killed the first two Spectres he had, and my three built themselves up enough to finish him off.

What's this? A THIRD mirror? An early Cock and Phoenix were enough to whittle down ARTHANASIOS' HP, followed by an Emerald Dragon later. I Rage-Potted his already-Rage-Potted Dragon when it came out, had a topdecked a second on my winning turn.

That deck was a great ally against Beggar decks in the last tourny, but today RNG just would allow me to have an Emerald Dragon...lame...

Mirror match, almost. Helston's Ice Bolts had frozen my Forest Spectres like they were Freeze. gg

One of the main reasons I've banned Lobos was to avoid my Mitosis to be ruined in this deck (and into other Mitosis-based decks I've love to prepare and use). Helston's AdrenArhcangels weren't able to break my early Rol/Hope spamming. gg

Jade Dragons can become very lovely 17|4 creatures when you cast a Rage Potion on them, or you use Rage Potions as CC. However, I've played badly at this one and my own strategy has proven my downfall, since Helston buffed my Jades with an extra Rage Pot with devastating results. gg

Still, my plan in taking over the world has already been set in motion and nobody can stop me. Hahahahahahah!

I don't think that poison would save me, however I have prepared poison-based decks too. I don't regret my defeat, I've used and fight against some really interesting life decks today.

UP for the majority of the community, but not for me. I have plenty of quanta and making sure I have to deal with only 5 enemy creatures was quite helpful with this deck. Freezing creatures after being poisoned by your Thorn Carapace leads them to a slow death, but you can't have plenty of single creature CC into a deck. Sure, Thorn Carapace is good by itself (if not stolen, deflagged etc.), but I find Flooding to be very helpful. Life has plenty of effective swarming tactics; Mitofrogs, FFQ/Hope, MitoRol/Hope, Frogtal etc. and flooding is an excellent anti-swarming card.

EDIT: The truth is than 3 Floodings are too much. 1 or 2 would be better.
