Suppose I have a shard of focus with 40 hp. You cast drain life on it. On my turn, I use its ability and it turns into a black hole in my hand. On your turn do you get the life or not?
Suppose I have a phoenix. On your turn you lightning bolt it, then kill it with Eagle's Eye. On your next turn, does the lightning bolt do nothing, or does it kill the ash?
I have flooding in play and you have 5 creatures. On your turn, you cast creature number 6. On my turn, I eat one of your creatures with my Otyugh. On your turn, does the creature appear in the flooded area?
Oh, very nice questions. I hadn't thought of that actually. Well I would make it so it all effects happen again, basically making you rechoose your target if the previous target wasn't there.
Same applies to Lightning Bolt or any other targetable card. If you cannot use it on anything, or anything you want, you will have the option to cancel the card and put it back in your hand.
When my 6th(now 5th) creature is played it will be played in the next available slot, so in the 5th creature slot. All this card does it make it out like you played a card 1 turn later. It'll make the card you use disappear until your next turn, when it will be used and then effects are applied normally. So using a targetable spell will simply make you retarget something or you can cancel it.
How's about the Nightfall Effect?
I don't know quite what you mean.
I love this card idea!!! I can't express how great an idea this card is. It completely fits the time element of the game - in fact, I wish more cards were thematically-oriented. I do believe, however, that the cost should be changed. I think that the cost of the unupped version should be 4, and the upped version should still cost 6. Because it effects both players, its cost does not need to be terribly high. Nice idea, though!
Yeah, the cost does need some changing, which I will be doing shortly.
