Deck Image Builder by Planplan Installed! https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=4349.msg42934#msg42934

Holy crap. It works!  :o
Days of having to take screenshots of deck ideas are over!

Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 52n 52r 592 5c6 5c6 5f8 5oj 5ro 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5up 5up 61t 621 6u6 74b 74b 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5
See the deck image above? I didn't take a screenshot. The image was built using this piece of code:
Code: [Select]
[deck=time]4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 52n 52r 592 5c6 5c6 5f8 5oj 5ro 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5up 5up 61t 621 6u6 74b 74b 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5[/deck]
How to build a deck image using only the deck import code

Coding by Planplan

1. look for this icon: above among the other buttons and press it

2. Copy deck import code from inside Elements and paste it between the tags

3. Replace the word "mark" with the element of your mark, for example "time"

4. Press "Post" and see a beautiful deck image (with mark) appear out of nowhere

That was just a small introduction/tutorial. Planplan if you want to further explain this system, by all means do so.

I order everyone to give Planplan Karma the next time you see him. He has definitely earned it for making this awesome piece of code.

Oh, and feel free to test the system on this thread.

Why not "install" the Greasemonkey script mentioned by Lifia in http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4147.20.html Reply #27, it actually works with this post and provides more features without generating server load -> winwin

Here is a screenshot how this Thread looks with the Greasemonkey script installed. Installing it to the forum would be simply a matter of copy/pasting the script to the forum template. It will obviously only work when javascript is enable but it's much more flexible than static image generation
(The Quint is displayed on the right in the screenshot as I'm hovering it, my mouse cursor is not in the screenshot)

(yes I know that the mark is not displayed, while I'm not sure who made the gm script (Lifia?) I'm certain that displaying the mark can easily be added, if this author of the script cannot be found I'd also be willing to do it.)

edit (as a reaction to Lifia's post below): nvm the above remark. Updated screenshot (which also shows the broken deck feature atm) with gm script showing mark: http://frz.cc/greasemonkey_script_good_with_mark.jpg

4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vn 5ig 5ig 5ig 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u7 6u7 77f 7h0 7t4 7t4 80h 80h 80h 80h
Is this working? or are we still having problems with it?  I'm seeing the mark, but the cards are only question marks...

Planplan found a fix for that bigger bug, but there's still a smaller one I see..

EDIT: Ok, the bug in CB!'s deck was because he had pressed "ENTER" and the second part of the tag was on the next line.

I would like to clarify that I had nothing to do with this project. It was all Planplan. He made the code and wrote a tutorial on how to install it.

Some bug could still exist, and maybe we could improve the script effectiveness (by caching images ?). Maybe it's a good idea to monitor the site stats to see if it cause too much processing or other things.
If you have suggestions, feel free to tell !

You're involved by building this forum, and without it, my script is useless ^^
