Holy nej. 3 + 1 turn for 6 ? 2 + 1 + 1 turn for 6 mark quanta? Is that balanced?
Nova is 0
+ 1 card + 0 turns for 12
(technically more of that, since it's one of each) = Net gain 12
Immolation is 0
+ 2 cards + 0 turns for 5
+ Nova = Net gain 6 + 11
Dial is 3
+ 1 card + 1 turn for 6
= Net Gain 3
Dial uses 1 less card than Immolation at the cost of a turn and approximately half the net gain. Compared to Nova it uses 1 less card and one more turn for 1/4 the potential net gain.
Supernova is 2
+ 1-2
+ 1 card + 0 turns for 24
(technically more of that, since it's two of each) = Net Gain 22
Immolation is 0
+ 1-2
+ 2 cards + 0 turns for 7
+ Nova = Net Gain 8 + 11
Dial is 2
+ 1
+ 1-2
+ 1 card + 1 turn for 6
= Net Gain 3
Here, Dial gets no better at net gain or speed of production compared to Immo and Nova. However, it compensates by allowing the player to focus on mark quanta of their choice instead of forcing the deck to be
- centric or a rainbow.
Overall : Dial sacrifices efficiency of faster quantum gain spells for additional flexibility. However such flexibility can be very useful in decks that know how to use it. (two dials can power an upgraded Miracle, for example).
It is indeed thematic. I really like the trio support for the upped.
These would make a Great Miracle Stall deck.
Thanks!
