ART: IDEA: Drake_XIV NOTES: Pride is an active ability. Proud creatures also attack creatures with the same attack as it. If there are multiple cards that have the same attack that is higher that the one afflicted with Pride, there are priority issues. Spoiler for Hidden: 1. Same Side- Pride will force to target a creature on the same side if applicable. 2. Distance- As seen in the image, if Pride is on Slot 1, it will attack Slot 5 before it considers Slot 2. 3. Number Order- In terms of equidistant targets, it takes numerical order.  So Slot 2 is attacked before Slot 3 if on the same side.  Slot 3 takes priority over Slot 2 if on the opposite side of Pride. Attacked creatures have a chance to attack back.  I will define this by the difference of the creatures' attacks divided by the attacked creature.  So a Golden Dragon versus a Pride Horned Frog has a 70% chance of retaliating. Does work with Adrenaline.  Does not override targeting via Gravity Pull or Momentum. SERIES:

Table text too. I see this as a good, cool form of CC - with the pride theme, which I don't think I've seen before with this mechanic.

this is a good way to counter dragons, especially the fire one.
i like the pride mechanic, but i dont know enough about how it would work to say whether the card itself is balanced. creative idea=thumbs up.

What if there are two creatures on the same side and equidistant from the proud creature?
What if there is a two creatures, one on the same side and one closer?

What creatures would people use this on?
Horned Frog for the Adrenal synergy but would die if attacked back.

Let's say you have Pride Photon in slot 1.  If there are Horned Frogs on slot 2 and 3 on your side, the Photon will attack the one on slot 2.

My original concept was how to get people to kill their own creatures.  So, the prime target would be a creature on the opponent's side of the field while you had lower attackers that would stay out of harm's way.

AdrenaFrog wouldn't really work since it'd only get one attack in.  A buffed Voodoo would work to, but that's at least a 3 card combo.  Armagio would be another card you could use it with, considering it's bulk.

I guess I should also address negative attack...

Oh, by "have a chance to attack back" you meant 100% chance thus killing the adrenal frog before the second attack.

I'm assuming.  At 3|3, it will die if it takes a hit from whatever it is attacking.

( 6 - 5 ) / 6 = 17%
With the new chance system Steel Golem looks like a great base creature.
