What is the best solution to farms flooding PVP?  (You may vote for up to 3 options)

I have seen a dramatic increase in both farms and farmers in PvP2 recently.  WELL OVER HALF of the games I've played in the last 48 hours were one or the other dropping out.  I'm certain the horrible queue wait times and most desynchronization errors are caused by farm flooding.  Here are some ideas I have about it:

1. Make Elements a "TCG" (Trading Card Game)
2. Eliminate the Spins to win in all PVP (maybe increase EC to compensate)
3. Opposite of 2: Add a Spin to PvP DUEL ... then there IS no farm flood because they have 100% hook up between farm and farmer
4. Improve the queuing interface so that you can't enter a game that's been abandoned by the opponent
5. Better recognition of opponent idleness so we don't have to wait 70 seconds for AI to take over
6. Any player backing out of the queue when an opponent (read: non-farm) appears gets a 70+ seconds 'ban' from entering pvp

I can't be the only player bothered by this.  I cut my teeth and got most my cards playing in the Arena - that's why it's there, no?  These players sheer laziness and the farms willingness to perpetuate it are ruining a great game.  Please ... do something about it!!

I remember this a few nights ago.  (probably the same night, because I know I played you at least once that day, dhanzig)  I saw a ton of farms while testing my Queen Sacrifice deck. (posted in the monowater forum now)  I know the one I kept running into was a guy named xxFractalxx.  I ran into him about six times that night, and every time he disconnected before turn 1, and had a SoB/SoW farm every time.  I saw a couple other farmers that night, too, but mostly that person.

It is rather sad that I accidentally got more of the unupped shards I still need from that one night of pvp2 than I have from bronze in the last week :p

Another possibility to help reduce farming would be to either cut pvp spins down to 2 or 1 instead of 3, or add a queuing rule where you cannot face the same player more than once per half hour, or some other length of time.

Strange... I know only one chatroom, where people ask for farms.
That´s probably not a thing the mass of players can do, still a problem, however.
From what I get now, and yesterday ... total normal pvp 2.
Bad internet connection, multiple tabs, bad planetary constellation... are many reasons why you get a timeout.
As far as I know, a player left the game, when you get the "player left timer".

IMO if you want to stop farms then the best solution would be number 6 on your list. (i am not stating an opinion for or against farms)

As far as I know, a player left the game, when you get the "player left timer".
If you press back to menu rather than entering the game when you find an opponent, your opponent will get into the game without showing you as leaving the game, since you never entered.

Personally, I would love for something that disallows the game to be opened and successfully saved in two different tabs like with the oracle so that the person setting up farms would at the very least actually lose score and electrum. Right now it's only time that person is wasting.

I vote for 6. I farm quite often and i like private farms, but when someone is literally flooding pvp with it to the point where you cant fight anyone else you can see that we need a change. I do not think farming should be completely removed from the game or made any easier than it already is.
I agree with the no tabbing idea as that is an exploitable bug that lets you avoid losses, and also suggest that option 6 apply to  quitting also.

Farming is indeed a big problem I believe, not only is pvp2 flooded with farms, but it seems that recently, that's all it is about on Kong, to the point where you hardly find anyone for friendly pvp.

This topic has come up several times already, and to me, the best solution I've heard so far would be simply transforming the rares in the pvp spins into relics, like it is done with Nymphs, that would force everyone to obtain the rares in the same way and not give advantage to those who are on Kong over those who aren't.

It seems like only Kong is doing it, but in such a huge amount its frustrating, probably the day dragon and dhanzig were talking about, it was literally 13 hours of constant flooding, with people taking turns.  I came back twice after afking and they were still going at it.  As to transforming rares to relics, you still get relic farms, granted not as bad.  I suggest you make it so that you can't multi tab, farming would pretty much drop if it wasn't for free.  You definitely wouldn't have marathon farms.  Its like I log onto kong and see a farm going, hop on xbox, and every time I look back, theres still one on.  I don't mind a couple farms, but when you flood everything, its like: Give it a break allready.

farms would not stop even if they werent free. plenty of ghigh level players on kong run farms without multi tabbing. the idea is that farms are legal in the game, but multi tabbing is cheating, so they dont want to cheat.

I like idea #6, would probably be a nice countermeasure. Simple switch from shard to relic on spin would work too, like you said. I don't want to defend the idea but I'm not all that opposed to the idea of farming though because I think it advances the metagame. Let me give you an example.

Kind of reminds me of the bottomless box glitch in Dark Souls. All of a sudden everyone could transfer every upgraded weapon and armor and item in the game to another person that is starting a new character. The idea was to advance the metagame by allowing any pvp build at the start. What ended up happening was that everyone found the "optimal" setup for dps and it became a cookie cutter build everyone uses. Now it is up to the developers to either patch the glitch or balance the weap/armor/items.


Meh, sucks that I keep running into sofo's in bronze though haha.

I personally don't really like number 6, people who back out of games aren't always farms. (I have done this in trying to face my cousin but still get rewards.) I think number 2 is best. Most people go to PVP for a fun fight with rewards. If more :electrum is earned, but no cards are won, this would completely get rid of farms while still leaving an enjoyable measure. Arena is a better place to farm anyways.
