Wouldn't this involve you having to target while it's the opponent's turn? Isn't this a bit like trap cards? Oldtrees said something about this but I can't remember what, wasn't too positive though.

indeed... i avoided targetting with all the other cards in this series for that reason but forgot while making this card because i wanted it to target for balance reasons, guess ill take the targeting out and it should work.

Is this a new "autocast" series of yours or something like that, dear RussianSpy? Personally, I don't like the idea of including "Instant" cards in Elements, so every card with the autocast ability gains a -1 for me, sorry...

yep, working on a series.  with the exception of this and the fire one (a permanent) they are all creatures though so staying away from "instants" as it were.

True, but that would just increase the number of reflective/jade shields in the meta which i think is good.  also, poison should be a targetting spell so you have a way to get purify counters off of yourself (and for the reflection shield reasons as well).  This was definitely not my first choice for the death autocast card, problem is, death has most of the plaguee theme covered as it applies to creatures, so i had to apply to it to the opponent, without resorting to poison.  reducing max hp seemed like the natural choice, though the numbers probably need adjustments.

ah ok, i guess i just took it as one because i didn't think of purify when i made this and i think the combo might make this card a bit too strong.  making this autocast series has required a bit more finesse in design than i usually use.

i dont think its a problem that this has syenrgy with purify. you're adding in an extra element+spenidng a card to save on a little death quanta, seems like good synergy but no OP. i like this card.

We already have a few sort-of-trap cards in Elements: Antimatter, Earthquake, and Nightmare to name a few. Granted, they are played on your turn, but they take advantage of otherwise useful actions in the game.
