Game 1: Loss
Seems we both had a slow start. Then I played the first creature: A gargoyle. Then he plays a Maxwell and Dragon. Dragon is promptly frozen and Maxwell lightning’d, and I stole a pend to slow his entropy production. He plays Fog + Discord. I play other creatures, and he gets a second dragon out + antimatter on a gargoyle. The two dragons overwhelmed me.
Game 2: Loss
I get a faster start – a graboid and dagger. Hyroen also gets out Fog and Discord early. I then decided to steal his Discord, which I thought would hurt him greatly. My Shrieker is killed by a schockwave. Then I finally got out a Dusk shield, and he another dragon. I drew a shockwave, and used it and lightning to kill a dragon. Then he played another dragon. Big surprise, right? I got a Gargoyle out, only for it to be antimattered. He played a third dragon and they got through the dusk. I wonder if I should have kept my dagger…
Game 3: Win
I get a much better start, and an early Dusk. A Dagger follows shortly. I again used Lightning to kill his Maxwell, played a Gargoyle. Most hits so far have gone through the fog. He got a dragon out, it misses. I play a gargoyle, he antimatters the upped gargoyle. I increase my onslaught of creatures. His two dragons have only gotten one hit in, and I have 14 cards left. Wait, another hit got through. And another. Our shields have really been slowing down the game. But my attack force got through for the win.
Game 4: Win
Not as good a start as game 3. Just 2 novas and a pend. I’m glad I have Dusk in my opening hand, but with 1 pend… it will take a while to get in play. He then plays again (always together) fog + discord. He plays a dragon also, which I freeze. Finally I get my dusk out. He plays another dragon. I played my dagger. So far most of my damage has been getting through his shield, and the opposite for him. More creatures are played. He had 11 Hp left, and no hits go through. Then I’m down to 20. Fortunately I get a steal to get rid of the shield, for the win.
Game 5: Loss
I get 2 pends and a pillar for a good start, along with early and quick dagger and dusk. He played a fog WITHOUT discord for the first time! Out came a dragon a turn after Maxwell. I freeze the Maxwell, Gravity Pull the dragon, and play two gargoyles, which is countered by antimatter and another dragon. I played a graboid. He antimatters my shrieker before I get a chance to burrow it. Then I burrow it. More creatures are played. The shields are really slowing this one down also. I evolved my 3 graboids. One is killed. I decide to steal his fog, hoping desperately I won’t die. And I die.
Really good games, my heart was pounding more and more as we progressed.
