expected wings or rush. and we packed enough heat to pound a rush and enough shields to outlast wings. they sent a rush with wings and the results are obvious looking at the decks.
Game 1) Lost - Started chaining shields at his 17 card mark hoping to have enough to outlast a deflag or two and get shots in when wings ran out. When he played wings at 15 cards left I figured he had 3. that pretty much meant GG. Also my opening hand had all 4 fractals and I didn't get a creature in the top 16.
Game 2) Lost - Much like game 1. He got a really slow start and had I figured it sooner I might have won by fractalling damselflies... but he got an OE out early and still had a big punch and deflags to close it out.
Game 3) Lost - pretty much wanted to go all in on the fractal-flies but he didn't leave any out early and I had to start shielding. He had 2 golems by turn 3 and I knew I was a deflag away from dead. I opted to maintain the chain as long as I could in case he left an opening, but Jenkar is much to skilled for such an error. keeping the wings down and slowly building his hand til he could play a couple guys and delfag 2 straight turns.
GG Jenkar.
