YoungSotWin with seldom used cards and capitalize on multipliers to rack up the best score.
WHAT’S THE POINT?-In Scorgasm you’ll face one opponent each round for 10 rounds. If you win your match for the round you are awarded points based upon which cards you used in your deck and whether your deck met the qualifications for multipliers.
- Each card is given a base point value each round. The sum of these, adjusted for deck size, (adding cards doesn’t add points but increasing the base points
per card is what matters), is your base points for the round.
- During the first round, one multiplier is randomly generated (during the second round there are two multipliers… during the 10th round there are 10). If your deck meets the multiplier qualifications (things like deck size, number of elements used, etc), your base points double. These multipliers stack, so if your deck qualifies for four multipliers and wins, your base points would be multiplied by 16.
- No points are awarded for a loss.
- Whoever has the most points at the end of 10 rounds, wins and achieves Scorgasm!
THE DOC> Here < is a link to the Google doc that will generate card base values and multiplier qualifications at the beginning of each round. The doc is separated into three tabs:
- The Round Rules tab shows the base points for each card for the current round. It also shows the multipliers in effect for the current round.
- The Brains doc hosts most of the formulas in the doc. It also has a list of all potential multiplier qualifications.
- The Point calculator allows you to paste in a deck code and see the resulting Base Points. You may also toggle whether you believe your deck meets the qualifications for each multiplier, and displays your final points for the round accordingly.
- Players are encouraged to make a copy of the doc and tinker with their decks on their own.
WHO CAN PLAY/REGISTRATIONAnyone with a forum account is eligible. Sign up by posting on the separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic or if it is locked, this event is not currently active and you will have to wait for it to restart. During registration each player may, if they wish, PM the organizer to change the point total for one card by 100 points. Examples: “please make Abomination worth 100 less points. I hate that card.” or “add 100 points to Flood because imma use it every round omg I love flooding lololol.” If multiple players change the same card it would not stack beyond a 100 point difference. The Event should have at least 16 players and there is no maximum number.
DECK BUILDING AND DUELSPlayers create one deck per round using unupgraded cards and no shards (unless otherwise specified). Marks may be counted as pillars of their element, but be warned that they don't currently calculate properly in the google doc, so use regular pillars when you want to test how many points your deck is worth. For Scorgasm, players fight best-of-three matches using a Swiss-system. Each player will be pitted against another player who has done as well (or poorly) as him or herself. For the first round, players are paired randomly. For subsequent rounds, players are sorted according to their cumulative scores and players are assigned opponents that have the same or similar score. One provison is that the same players never oppose each other twice. If a fight doesn't happen during the 3-day round both players lose by default unless one player is clearly more active in trying to find a suitable time, in which case that player will be awarded the average point total for the round of all winners. Event organizer will determine who the most active player was and his or her word is final. It's a good idea to either record the matches or take screenshots in case something weird like a desync error happens. A player who gets caught cheating will be permanently banned from all Elements community PvP events.
AFTER DUELSWinners
do not create battle results threads; instead they should immediately PM their winning deck code to the Event Organizer, who will post winning decks used and points earned when the round has completed.
FORFEITS AND OTHER FAILURESThe Event Organizer may remove players from the event due to lack of participation.
WINNING AND REWARDSThe reward will be a forum award icon and the respect and admiration of your peers.
