Impressive hand-filler, but I'm not liking how just two of these could result in a permanent hand-lockdown on your opponent if you're good enough, and have enough turns. Hell, three of these would speed up the process.

sounds about on par with nightmare paired with rewind/eternity, sadly.

anyway, the initial cost could be increased to slow down the number you can have in play at a time, especially early.

At least with Rewind, you are almost always guaranteed the opportunity to play the card again as well.

Personally, I like the idea, but I can't help but feel that it would be too easily abused.

Indeed, Rewind/Eternity doesn't mean you're gonna be stuck with cards you're not able to play. With this card in a :light / :time duo, you'd have limitless ways to add GotP to the opponent's hand with permanence.

This thing is essentially a slower, more powerful nightmare on a stick.

Indeed, as long as the opponent's hand is empty. With enough time and at least two of these, you don't even need Nightmare.

And in some ways, this is better than Nightmare.  No need to wait for the opponent to empty out at least half of his/her hand to make it effective.

who cares about gotp, just chuck this in a mono light deck with dragons (or maybe archangels, since you can get them out faster).  As long as your opponent doesn't have a way to generate light quanta quickly, keep clogging his hand with dragons/angels.  And since it's a mono deck, you can probably get the lock out much faster.

I think I would be less worried about this being abused if the casting cost was 5 or 4 or if the ability cost was 3.

 If people feel the idea wil become abused, then we may just rise the cost of the ability to 3 :light|2 :light and the healing to 3 hp per usage.  ;D
