i think they got removed on the old forums when we got the reputation system instead of the old karma system.

somehow my forum account can not be found.
when i tried to login it said "user not found".
i thought i might have misspelled the nickname, but nope.
it is no big deal, but maybe others have the same issue.

I registered a new account.  I followed the link to the account recovery tool.  I attempted to fill in the information.  It told me my new password was incorrect.  I tried again.  Same result.  I logged out of the new forum, selected the "forgot password" feature, put in the password I thought I had put in originally.  I went to the account recovery tool link.  Tried again.  Same result.  I logged out of the forum.  I logged back in to the forum with the password the account recovery tool says is wrong. I tried the account recovery tool again.  Still says my new password is incorrect.  Does it actually work yet?


EDIT:  I repeated the changing my password in the new account, and got it to work.  But there is something buggy going on.  I know I didn't mistype the password the five or six times I tried to get it to work, and type it correctly every time I logged out and logged in to the new forum.

I tried right after I saw your post with that recovery tool and it worked fine fortunately for me...

Considering that this whole topic revolves around us having no control over anything in the elementscommunity.com site, it would be wise to assume that we cannot update that page. Also, by extrapolating from everything else or looking at the links at the top of this page, we can determine that the new page is, in fact, here: http://elementscommunity.org/.

That is the very reason why we're in this forum. Do not go there anymore. You should have read hundreds of "GO to the new forums!" there. Hundreds.
