OdinVanguard
NOTES:
This card is an attempt to help "Fat" decks get to the cards they need to dampen the effects of bad draws. The idea is to give players a means to get to  the cards they need or to act as an analogue to mind gate... of course you will either need to pay the cost several times or dig down to the bottom of your deck.
Note that the price of getting to use the cards you want on demand is essentially paying their casting cost twice plus 3 (2)  :rainbow . Also, the limited number of uses and the fact that new copies are created for both players will prevent this from being abused to prevent deckout indefinitely... and you risk giving the enemy extra cards they will use against you.

Mechanically, when activated, the player targets a card anywhere in hand or on the field. If they can't afford the cost of the card or they hit cancel, the ability fizzles and they waste one usage.
(They could use this to copy their opponents cards in hand too, but they would do so blindly and risk fizzling the effect unless they have precognition)

I welcome any balancing suggestions and feedback for the cost, number of uses, mechanics etc.

Too expensive for the clutter and a reshuffle/small foresight. I dont think a nerfed cost would help either. Perhaps add draw a card and up the cost slightly?

How would this even be implemented? The knowing how far down a card is, is quite useless. Only thing I see of it is a 3 quanta precog, which would fit in super well with SNbows.

This is not going to be a stand alone card. I am making a series of cards that is aimed at deck and hand manipution. This is one of them. It is meant as a support card that will interact with the others.

For example: see the card Retrieval Shabti: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,37820.0.html (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,37820.0.html)

Using this you can find how far you have to dig to get to the card you want. Then you either choose to draw and use the shabti or reshuffle and hope it gets closer to the top.

From an implementation point of view: a pop up window prompt would appear and you would type the card name into the window.

Ok, I've totally reworked this cards mechanics since the "name a card" mechanic seems quite unpopular. I also added some temp artwork from the wikipedia commons. Any art suggestions would be welcome though.
