Before a Noob Quits, Some Constructive Feedback for the Devs https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=37515.msg471447#msg471447

This thread is meant as some constructive feedback from a new player.  I wanted to leave a quick post before I leave Elements, and it is intended only as helpful to the game developers.  I started the game with two other friends, and I lasted the longest.  The game can be incredibly addicting, and I spent many hours over several weeks playing.  There are many good things about the game.

The good:

I like the fast games, and there are so many cool combos. I love the graphics, the arena, and how difficult some of the fights are.  Great job on the game mechanics.

The bad:

The grind is a killer.  This is what took my two friends out.  I think an across-the-board 15-20% increase in Electrum would be perfect.

The ugly:

I spent pretty much all day yesterday playing this game.  This was a day I don't typically get to spend on a game.  However, after logging onto a different computer, ALL my work was lost.  It would take me weeks to replicate that effort, as I don't usually get that much time to play.  I lost two entire DECKS I had built up during the day, including several upgraded cards I had bought, plus about 10 others I had earned on the wheel.  This is immensely upsetting.  When I went to the forums to troubleshoot my losses, I found that this issue had come up MANY times.  The new members were told they were out of luck.  However, most people lost a few cards, not an entire day and a couple of decks.

This was the deal-breaker for me.  My friends lost it on the grind; but I lost it when, without ANY warning on the login page, or in any of the tutorials, I lost a day of life spent on Elements that I don't wish to replicate.  Yes, I'm upset, but I want this to be constructive.

My feedback would be that if this issue can't be fixed, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE at least put it a warning under the login or in one of the tutorials.  You will save a lot of headaches for future players.

(no, you can't have my stuff...the game ate it.)

I agree with the part that the grind is killing some players.

I can spend a whole day in the trainer instead of the real game because every time I play the real game, the only thing I can do is grinding as if there would be no end to it.

I can also imagine your pain of losing all the progress. I'm not sure about game coding and programming but I think your suggestion is valid while being difficult to implement.

If I didn't read anything wrongly in your thread in Troubleshooting, it's not that easy too lose all the data. You have to log in the game on different computers at the same time to cause this problem. I'm not sure if this is a common practice of other players, at least I won't do so and warning everyone not to do something that they won't do normally is somehow unrealistic

Anyway, I appreciate how much effort you try to put into improving this game and I can sincerely see you passion at Elements. I hope that you will come back because many players, including myself, have reset their account for different reasons and we are still fine. This a setback, but not a setback as big as you have thought. Troubles never stop you from doing anything you love to do.

While I'm sorry you lost a days effort, sad to see it make you quit, and happy you wanted leave some feedback, I doubt this thread will do a terrible lot of good. It's a well known fact that some people like grinds and others dont, and there is constantly ideas coming in here with ways to change it. The arena was implemented to help people get some more or less free cash. As for the login problem, its a well known problem on the forums. I'm sure Zanzarino knows about it already. The way the game saves means this problem can't be fixed very easily. As for a warning for the problem...*shrugs* I dont know. waterzx has a point, it's a warning for something I dont think most people do.
